A Ricky/Chris final is my idea of Hell on Earth.
Try visiting a slum somewhere in South Asia, you may learn to stop using hyperbole like this.

It was the best dance and should have got at least 9s not 8s like Len and Craig gave , it deserved more marks but for some reason they get marked lower than other , I like Ali but they didnt deserve any higher mark than Chris and Ola, Im glad Natalie as gone.

It was brilliant. The best dance of the series so far. It was what Strictly is all about - bringing your personality on to the dancefloor.

Ali is technically good but can't translate enough of her personality into her dancing. Her acting skills worked tonight - but we rarely see who she is. And Ricky's arrogance is overwhelming - interesting to see that when the judges don't back him up sufficiently, he lands up in the dance-off.

And no, Team Cola's Charleston wasn't overmarked - it was undermarked! Len and Craig should have given them nines. But then it is becoming increasingly apparent that the judges' two favourites are marked differently to the other three.

I would love Chris and Ola to make the final - but I am guessing that, if they are indeed the public's favourites, they will survive to the semi's then end up in the dance-off with one of the judges' darlings and will lose to them.

Chris is not as technically as good as the others, not as good as Tom or Austin, but, frankly, I don't care. Strictly isn't all about technical excellence, however much the judges might want us to view it that way ...

YEAH, BABY!
Yeah Baby, I agree, they were defo under marked but a thought they were also under marked in the Viennese Waltz, its obvious they aren't going to get the marks they deserve from the judges, the thing is I think that they were unlucky they danced first ,maybe their marks might have been higher , I definitely want them to win

All the dances have been terrible, I half expect them to produce a custard pie and clown shoes. Team "Cola" were by far the most annoying. His endless catchphrases and "jokes" have become really tired. I hope he leaves tonight but I suppose he will end up winning it, with the BBC bias and the housewives votes.
Yes those naughty housewives! Fancy them picking up their phones and voting - ought to be a law against it, especially when they are voting for someone who is performing beyond all expectation and who makes people smile.

(But they are only housewives so they don't count right?)

I am a housewife and I wouldn't dream of voting for Chris

Did I say I had anything against housewives or that they shouldn't vote for him? No - I just pointed out a lot would and that they made up a large percent of the audience. Calm down

IF it had been the Finals dance (not saying they should be there but still) IF, then I would have voted for it. It gave me the smiley, joie-de-vivre feel that Tom and Camilla's dance did last year, and I hadn't planned on voting for them either.

I'm not a housewife, I'm 23 and male! Their partnership is the most enjoyable to watch. I gave up on voting for the best technical dancer last year when Rachel did not win. Team Cola!

I supported Rachel and Vincent all the way through but that showdance blew me away and they were worthy winners on that basis.

The judges don't want Cola to win let's be honest. They would prefer a more glamorous couple like Ricky and Nat or Ali and Brian.

How many times have Cola been underscored and Ricky overmarked? I remember when Jade was constantly undermarked as well.

Depends how you define glamorous couple, really. Ola out-glams any of the remaining girls by a street, and Chris is now such a celeb he'll soon get his own sports show as a "key talent". In fact their attraction for many of the public comes from their relationship, not his dancing.

I think the judges would simply prefer a couple that dances better, but they're falling out of love with Ricky because he just can't stop making mistakes. I wouldn't even be surprised any more if they arrange a Chris/Ricky dance-off in the semi-final, and Chris actually survives provided he's on top form.

We're all discounting Laila here, but you never know. For some reason I can't fathom, Anton has a massive fan base.

I am not a fan of them in general but I do think that they deserve credit for that dance which was action-packed from the start. So unlike the other efforts that night which all seemed to begin with a degree of "messing abhaat" to use Len parlance.

I watched this with my inlaws at the weekend - they said they were supporting Chris and Ola, lovely boy. They raved after his charleston, loved his VW. Then when the phone lines opened and I picked up my phone to vote, they looked at me like I was mad. They don't vote because, "Chris is lovely and is bound to win". Hopefully other Cola fans don't feel the same way.

They're not my favorites, but I hope everyone gets all the support they can from their fanbase and noone is a victim of voter apathy - then whatever the result it will be fair.
