I'm a 57 year old woman - and I think Rihanna is great. IMHO Russian Roulette is her finest to date, but looking forward to more...

I like the video for Rude Boy, it's very colourful

I hated the song before though, it seems kinda better now. Hopefully this song will do well!

I think Hard will be her next single here. It's getting video airplay and has peaked outside the top 40 already. That shows buzz and I am sure her Label would want that to go further.

I highly reccommend her album Ms Behaviour. Especially if you liked Russian Roulette. Considering how dark was, there are more dark songs on there like it. If you do, be sure to check out Stupid In Love and Photographs (a collab with Will.i.am)

The album is fantastic. Wait Your Turn, Stupid In Love, Hard, Rude Boy, Fire Bomb, The Last Song and in particular, Rockstar are fantastic.

Am going to echo what others have said about Rated R - it's bloody brilliant! Russian Roulette is a good reflection of the general 'mood' of the album as well - it's considerably darker that GGGB, but it works really well. Like GGGB any one of the tracks could be a single too.

Am really liking Te Amo at the minute.

Cold Case Love has grown on me lately which is a song she did with Timbaland. But it's no where near as good as the song Rehab they previously worked together.

I love that a particular line in one song from the album where she says "i lick the gun when im done because revenge tastes so sweet. I think it's G4L.

I love all the tracks apart from Cold Case Love. I'm loving Rude Boy and Fire Bomb at the moment.

Not sure, I think it's either that Charlie Bit My Finger video or 'Girlfriend' by Avril Lavigne?

Sorry . Don't worry you'll learn it in time .

How many of you guys here have her first album 'Music Of The Sun'? How would you feel if she did that kind of stuff again in her next album?

I liked what I heard at the time (restricted to the singles), but I'm not sure if the 'now' Rihanna could believably the songs of the 'then' Rihanna.

Before GGGB, Rihanna was another one of those young, pop/r'n'b hybrid single female artists.

GGGB and RR have really established her as both a financially reliable and critically acclaimed recording artist. I'm not sure I can see her selling those 'lighter' tracks now. In the same way, I don't think Britney doing some of her earlier stuff would work as well as it did back then than if she did it now.

(Of course I could be wrong - after all, Pink reinvents herself with every album but can still make the Mizzunderstood tracks sound credible when she performs them).
