I know I'm going to get alot of backlash for this..

*Wears helmet with pride*

But what does Laila have to do?

No criticism of Laila in the group VW yet only an 8 in comparison to Ricky's 9 and Ali's 10.

They did a fabulous Charleston tonight and Craig marked them lower than Ricky W who lost timing.

They NEVER give Laila constructive criticism. They just complain. Somebody please, find me one piece of CONSTRUCTIVE criticism the judges have given her this series.

They've already made up their mind, and I for one am sick of it.

I wouldn't worry about it...she's at worst the female runner-up this year....and is still in there fighting in December.

The public are voting for her though, which is what counts. The judges all saved her last week too. Personally, I think their criticism of her is fair. However, I do think that Ricky gets overmarked.

Laila hasn't always delivered.

But even when she does, she still doesn't get the credit she deserves.

The lukewarm reaction from the panel only strengthens my support for her.

I feel this way about Ali. In terms of the forum I mean.

No doubt about it tonight, going on what the Judges said and her dancing she was undermarked. I really want to know why, thats all!

That was even better second time round because I could watch it without worrying!
Gotta love Anton...well I do!

I didn't think her Charleston was all that, actually, good, but a bit limp.

Her VW though, was great - I think she deserved a 9 for that.

It hardly matters though, she survived, easily. She's got to put the work in and totally deliver.

She can - if she wants to.

I don't really get this argument - other than the constructive criticism which I will accept, I've thought the comments have been fair. She's fairly week IMO, only looking good in the ballroom's due to Anton. She's got lukewarm comments because she is, lukewarm.

In terms of what she could do - well I for one want to see her really putting 100% into a dance. Her jive was only at about 18% for example, and her Rhumba...well, let's not go there. Especially after Ali's performance tonight.

Even tonight in a fun, light, carefree dance she was in 3rd gear.

If I can see her putting in to a performance what she put into her Paso (the one time she's impressed me) then I'll accept that she's not getting the praise she deserves.

That's the point though.

Even when Laila commits, such as in the Paso, she's still not given the praise she deserves.

That's got to play on your mind and affect your motivation after a while surely? Seeing weaker dancers being commended for their efforts but having your Latin brought up on a week when you're performing a Vienesse Waltz?

If I was Laila, I'd be feeling a bit fed up too.

But she threw herself into tonight's performance, and I feel she pulled it off. I commend her and Anton.

Exactly OP. I want to know too - I loved her Charleston tonight, better than the others in fact because it was fun, cheeky and fast too. And her VW was beautiful too. I voted quite a few times for her and was happy to see she got through. Hopefully she'll atleast make the finals..

What score did she get for her Paso do you know? If it was low then I accept your point, that was the ONE time she's actually put 100% in and danced her socks off.

Then again, one of the main bug bears on this forum is over marking and that affecting public perceptions so maybe they're judging Laila just right and it's going down well with the public and she's getting lots of phone votes? So win all round for her fans.

I wrote on Twitter during the show that she was undermarked for her VW - I don't know why they continue to fawn over Ricky so much, wish he'd gone tonight

I liked all 3 Charlestons, but hers was my favourite and I definitely felt that she was marked down on her VW because the judges felt that it was down to Anton's excellence. Bruno as good as said so in his review of her after the dance.

I'm afraid I agreed with Craig completely tonight, I thought she was much too heavy for a Charleston. Wasn't a fan of the Paso either, as I thought it went nowhere from a very strong Spanish arm opening.

I love her ballroom though and feel the she has been a bit underrated on this side of her dancing.

I don't think she is a very good dancer. Maybe I am wrong, though, and she may be being undermarked, compared with Ricky, who does seem to be overmarked, even when he makes mistakes.

I'm with you here. The Paso was the best Latin she's done, but she lost it in the middle and didn't keep the attitude going at all.

Her Charleston was fun but not energetic and polished enough, she walked round a bit sometimes.

And I think she is underrated with her ballroom, not all the time, but I thought her foxtrot was really, really good.

It's as if they blame Anton for her Latin and then give him all the credit for her ballroom sometimes, I admit.

But what about Ricky, whose rock and roll was flat-footed much of the time and on top of that, at times he was just standing there, stopped, not even walking around?

I really disliked Ricky's performance, actually. I thought he was pants tonight and am cross about it.

Doesn't make Laila any better though.

Although I was actually very pleased with her, it was the most convincing and fun performance of hers I'd seen since the Paso which was again, good in parts.

She deserved to stay, she can damn well try and do well, she is beautiful and has natural abiltiy - get yer head down girl and git on wivvit.

I do feel the judges are right to mark how much harder it is for male celebs because they have to lead in ballroom. To me Anton and Laila's VW looked superior to Ricky and Natalie but it is really hard to judge how much is down to Anton because he leads so skillfully. On the other hand, I find it hard to credit that Ali was marked so highly given her left elbow sticking out and the old wobbly arms.
