I really disliked Ricky's performance, actually. I thought he was pants tonight and am cross about it.
Doesn't make Laila any better though. Although I was actually very pleased with her, it was the most convincing and fun performance of hers I'd seen since the Paso which was again, good in parts. She deserved to stay, she can damn well try and do well, she is beautiful and has natural abiltiy - get yer head down girl and git on wivvit. ![]() |

I don't like Lalia, think shes coasted her way through so far, but she did do a bloody good Charleston so credit where its due. Very enjoyable.

No. I agree it doesn't but what about the relative marks for their respective performances? That's what I was getting at.
He shouldn't have - the same marks would have been fair. How much ahead was he? |

I think he did get more - he usually does! - but I can't remember what they each got - unfortunately!

Ricky: 7, 8, 8, 8 Laila, 6, 9, 8, 8 In my opinion Laila was far better than Ricky. In the Viennese Waltz Laila also outshone him but got scored an 8 whilst he had a 9. |

They both got 31 for their competitive dances.
Ricky: 7, 8, 8, 8 Laila, 6, 9, 8, 8 In my opinion Laila was far better than Ricky. In the Viennese Waltz Laila also outshone him but got scored an 8 whilst he had a 9. But again, Laila isn't given credit in the ballroom because of Anton. Though, to be fair, in 'open' particularly, the man has massive responsibility. I don't think we should moan too much. She's got through, comfortably, not much in it all in all. |

They each got 31 for their main dance, but Ricky got 9 for the VW and Laila 8.

Ali is my fave, has been from the start, but Laila is FAB and I think the judges have been way too harsh on her all the way through!
She was BRILL tonight

They got the same marks, even though his rock and roll was anything but! And that's without even counting the mistakes that the judges mentioned. So how was Laila's as bad as that? Or how was his as good as Laila's Charleston?

I think the Charleston was marked about right to be honest her basic action as Craig said was flat compared to Chris and Ali though I THOUGHT Chris's far the best Charleston both technically and for character. Laila's routine lacked swivel too#
As for the VW their performances looked on a Par - and as it is undoubtedly harder for the male Ricky was given the extra mark |

I have agreed with some of the criticism as the show has gone through but I was cross tonight. Craig's 6 was outrageous when the dance was so well executed and well received. At very least a 7 and probably an 8. And, yes, I agree that the VW was marked down - should have been a 9 - because they all believed that it's easy to dance that one well with Anton as a partner. But she still danced it very well! And how did Ali and Brian get 10 when THEY were the ones who danced through first Laila and Anton and then Ricky and Natalie? They completely took the other couples' floor and in normal competition they would almost certainly have lost a mark for each. It's only 5 couples for godness sake! And they finished several seconds before the music did.

I thought Laila danced her charleston very well. Craig's mark of 6 was completely out of order. I think that's why Len gave her a 9 though, because it wasn't better than Team Cola's and he gave them an 8 I believe.

Laila flat. And what about Ricky's rock and roll? As this thread is talking about Charleston I commented on that and compared to the other two Charleston's Laila's action was flat furthermore it contained virtually no swivel aciton either Ricky's RNR as his Jive had dodgy foot action but I was comparing Charlestons should have known better than to post on here you lot can't discuss anything without resorting to that stupid digs as in your post WHICH I HAVE CORRECTED now go get a life |

Don't think her sticking out her tongue helped the points from CRH. I'm sure Anton said the same to her. She must try and not let him worry her. Go Girl Go! Get those points higher.

I know I'm going to get alot of backlash for this..
*Wears helmet with pride* But what does Laila have to do? No criticism of Laila in the group VW yet only an 8 in comparison to Ricky's 9 and Ali's 10. They did a fabulous Charleston tonight and Craig marked them lower than Ricky W who lost timing. They NEVER give Laila constructive criticism. They just complain. Somebody please, find me one piece of CONSTRUCTIVE criticism the judges have given her this series. They've already made up their mind, and I for one am sick of it. |

I don't often post on the SCD forum, but I have to say I think Laila had fun with the Charlseton. It's the first time she has come across as though she is really enjoying the show, to me she has always seemed to be dancing with reserve, if that makes sense. Hopefully it will continue this way for her.
Have to say though, Personally, I enjoyed Chris and Ola's more, but on the night I would rate Laila a close second. |
