Bittersweet World has a few good songs on it, but a lot of bad ones. I like the songs that have more of a guitar based rock sound like her first two records. I hate the ones where she tries to do a hip hop influenced sound like Gwen Stefani. I think they are produced by Timbaland. He ruins everything. He ruined Madonna on Hard Candy.

I'm more of a fan of the guitar based ones too, I didn't think I'd like the hip-hop influenced ones, didn't think much of Timbaland when he decided to get involved with it, but it's not too bad. Better than her 2nd album I thought, though not better than her debut.

Mika - The Boy Who Knew Too Much
Backstreet Boys - This Is Us
Rihanna - Rated R (In terms of first week in comeback it DID flop, it got to number 16, but it has a chance of cracking the top 10 now Rihanna has performed on X Factor.)

And WOW Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis have dropped drastically on iTunes albums chart!!!

I don't see how Rated R is flopping, its currently Gold and has only been out a week.

My brother really likes Mika's second album, which doesn't seem to have a certificate yet which is bad seeing as his first album is 5x Platnuim.

I can't believe Mika album has done so badly His last single 'Rain' has only got to around #70 too and it was released last week

Rihannas album hasn't charted well in it's first week, but it still had decent sales at around 32k. Back in October that would have made #1!! (seriously)

Polly Scattergood - Self Titled
JoJo - The High Road
Charlotte Church - Tissues and Issues

Sugababes Catfights and Spotlights. (their best album IMO.)

I like Bittersweet World by Ashlee Simpson too, it's really good.
Others I've liked that haven't done too well:
No Doubt- Return of Saturn
Courtney Love- America's Sweetheart
Mutya Buena- Real Girl
Kelly Clarkson- My December (Did worse than all her other albums but is a better album than all of them! )

Garbage - Beautifulgarbage
Janet - Damita Jo (If only for Sexhibition )
Melanie C - Beautiful Intention (You'll Get Yours is my favourite Mel C song ever!! She is so underated and it's a shame)
Kylie - Impossible Princess. (I'm glad somebody else has mentioned this too )
Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape (I don't know whether this counts or not. It didn't chart hightly, but i think it has sold pretty well over time)
I also wouldn't count Britneys Blackout as a flop!”

I think this album is on its way to being classified as a forgotten pop gem. I think it did ok but didn't sell any where near it should have.

I'll contribute Bic Runga's "Birds" album to this list.
I wish that I could say Razorlight's "Slipway Fires" but it was a truly poor album and deserved to flop

I totally agree with all of your choices. All of those albums are good. I really like My December. It was very uncompromising. All I Ever Wanted had some good songs too but it was mixed in with too many commercial MOR ballads, where she started to sound like the old Mariah Carey before she lost her voice!

Actually I take it back your both right, Rated R isn't a flop at all. It has sold well, but with strong opposition from the likes of Susan Boyle, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas and the Christmas albums, it hasn't been given a chance to do as well. It's a shame because it's her best album yet.

I'm also really shocked at how badly Mika's album has done, They say the sophomore effort is always the hardest, and I guess it's true. Except if your name is Paolo Nutini. Then your album is even better than your absolutely fantastic debut

To the person above, The evolution wasn't a flop. Not in the US it wasn't

And i take back what i said, Blackout wasn;t a flop. It was just a low seller

Mika's new album is really good and I am gonna make a purchase soon. It's less annoying and more catchy then this first. My friend who is a Mika nutter fan is gutted it's bombed. Loads of his fans have turned his back on him. It's sold 55,000 copies to date in the UK.

Pixie Lott - Turn it up. Really good album. Very low sales. Shocking for someone who has had three top 20 singles. Even the modest success of Cry me out hasn;t turned her sales around. The most underated brit pop album of the year from a female.

My December - Kelly Clarkson
5th Horseman

Kylie Minogue - Kylie Minogue (her first album on DeConstruction), was critically acclaimed but slated by the public for not being the PWL pop that was expected, I think it's one of the best albums ever, Confide in Me, one of the best songs ever, Impossible Princess was more poppy but almost as good.

One of my most listened to albums is 'Make It Good' by A1. The album didn't do that well in the charts, but is full of great Pop tunes.
