Marillion - Afraid of Sunlight was a flop despite some good reviews and was their last album on a major label. One of their best albums, if not their best.

I've never heard of the others but I recall quite a bit of press for Joanna Newsom's Ys. Obviously that didn't translate into commercial sales though.

Albums like Polly Scattergood's debut and Bic Runga's "Birds" can't really be called flops as neither were expected to sell in vast quantities.
"Birds" is a bit of a stinker mind you!
Bic's "When I see you smile" is one of the best short songs of all time though!!

It may of been here but loads of albums flop in loads of places but do well in one place

So it's not a flop. Her fantasy ride album is a flop because it bombed everywhere

So a sticky out face smiley is just childish because i proved you wrong.

Rudebox isn't really flop. It got to number 1 and went double platinum. It's a low seller compared to his others really. Like Britney's blackout. Not a flop but a low seller.

GREAT choice, Cute Chick! Probably as far as boyband hype goes they were one of the most underrated but I'd have them right up there for good quality pop. Talented boys, I think Mark is a songwriter for others now. Caught In The Middle is a brilliant pop song by any standard. Still gets a high number of plays, I find the first couple of a1 albums a little too cheesy to play nowadays (Barring Everytime and Same Old Brand New You which still get heavy spins) but Make It Good is a great album.

These are albums I utterly ADORE but didn't make high sales

Kubb - Mother
Singles -Grow and Wicked Soul

Thirteen Senses - The Invitation
Singles - Thru The Glass Into The Fire

We Are Scientists - With Love and Squalor (Still very much a band with a cult following but utterly genius!)
Singles -Nobody Move, Nobody Gets Hurt and The Great Escape

And a male singer I love but just has never really broken through:

Jamie Scott and The Town - Park Bench Theories (gorgeous voice, gorgeous album)

I did have All American Rejects ( Move Along) which did pretty poor here ( scraped to a 100,000) but did considerably better in the US, and most definitely NOT a flop!)

correct me if i'm wrong but did it not sell 3 million copies? pretty good considering the nature of album sales nowadays and he fact that everyones downloading nowadays

Paloma Faith - Do you want the truth or something beautiful

She is the most underrated new female artist of the year. Although I have a feeling her sales are going to improve as she releases more and more singes. But for the moment, her album is a flop.

Birds could easily be her best work!
