Week after week they get guest star singers on to perform. And week after week they fail to meet the standard set by the resident band. Save the money, lets hear Dave Arch and the band - they must sit there and laugh at how bad bad the guests are.

It's a fact that few artists these days, can replicate their studio recordings in a live performance. Some now I doubt ever perform live through a complete tune.”

The earpieces don't necessarily help you stay in key, it's just for foldback so they can hear the music and themselves.

You're bang on though about singers these days not being able to replicate the recordings. That's the problem I think, records these days, especially 'pop' records are heavily compressed and auto-tuned to within an inch of their lives so there's no way they can manage it. Back in the day when a singer was recording a song and they couldn't hit the note, they would re-record that line til they got it right. Of course, there was no auto-tuning software those days but maybe things should go back to that. It's just laziness now.
