To prevent an Ali and Ricky dance off.
I suspect they have to place Anton and Laila last on the leader board whatever they do on the night.

Chris has the samba what other dances do the couples have?

If it's 2 dances next week then I think Laila and Anton have the AS and Salsa left...I think.

Chris and Ola: Samba and Waltz
Ali and Brian: Samba and Tango
Ricky and Natalie: Paso and Foxtrot

I think these are right!

Ricky's footwork isn't always great so Foxtrot might be a struggle for him. I think he'll find the Cha Cha Cha easier.

I think Ali, Chris and Laila will do fine with their Ballroom dances but the Samba's and Salsa will be eh... not so good.

No TT have faith, we will see the new improved Laila next week, she will wow with her sexy Latin ways!! (maybe even Anton will manage)
I'm being optimistic after last night because I felt like I watched a different dancer!

Dunno about Ali I don't 'study' her very closely

I think as long as Laila likes the Salsa she will pull it off .

Next week Ricky will be top - lots of 'your back to your best etc etc', they'll cool off Ali a little bit and get the knives out for Laila.

To be fair she's dancing a Salsa with Anton which should be shocking enough to get them in the bottom two with not much help from the judges.

Oh yes.

Conspiracies on this forum always seem to depend upon some poster's "favourite" being hard done by, or some other poster's "hated" coupled doing better than expected.

Quite sad really.

It's only a conspiracy theory if it's not so bloody obviously true.

A reasonably ordered one as usual I suspect...notwithstanding the odd questionable individual mark here and there.

The judges didn't hesitate to place Ricky in the danger zone this week...albeit I would have placed him 4th.

And the documented proof is where exactly? In truth, the proof exists in the minds of those who choose to believe it.

With Ali safe at the top of the LB there was no dangerzone for RW. In fact, had I been Natalie Cassidy I would have refused to dance off.

That might work if Ali had been 'safe'...but as I suspect you well know it was perfectly possible for her to have been in the DO...potentially with Ricky.

I don't mind conspiracy theories and they may have some truth in them...but invariably they're half-baked.

Anton and Laila last on the leaderboard with no ties would ensure that we don't have an Ali and Ricky dance-off.

If they do put Chris last then it's difficult to know how they'd need to place the rest to avoid an Ali and Ricky dance-off.

You do need a lot of reversal for the person at the top to be in the dance-off.

To get both Ricky and Ali then Ali would need to be last. Natalie top. Laila 2nd. Also Chris would need to be ahead of Ricky...

1 Natalie
2 Laila
3 Chris
4 Ricky
5 Ali

So only 1 possible combination Hardly half-baked.

Pretending there's no danger zone when a) there is one and b) there's no way of accurately assessing how big it is amounts to half-baked theorising...however you spin it.

Well I think the judges ARE manipulative even if it isnt completely deliberate, they get blinkered by what they would like to see as an outcome.

With only 4 couples in if Chris is bottom of the board he could still get the top public vote and be in the dance off....it would all depend on the order the public votes for the others.....the judges (particularly Len) dont understand this. In series 5 he said that the public should have voted more to keep Gethin in....what he failed to understand was that Gethin could have got 3 times as many votes as the others and still been in the dance off thats the way the scoring works when there are less couples....it doesnt only depend on your own vote it also depends on the others vote to a certain extent. On Saturday the person with the lowest public support could go through and the one with the most be sent home.

Unlike some of you I have faith in the judges and don't believe they will "fix" the leaderboard. I'm sure they will mark accordingly on what they see on the night as always. [even if i don't agree]

Well simple maths tells us that if there are 5 couples and 5 placings the total possible combinations is 5x4x3x2x1 = 120.

So the dangerzone you refer to is 1/120

I don't accept that we're dealing with equally likely outcomes...so simple maths is too simplistic.

I think this could be the order vote wise 1st Chris, 2nd Laila, 3rd/4th Ricky Ali,

So all they need to do is switch that round on the leaderboard.
Ie put chris bottom and Ali or ricky top.

Ricky, Ali, Laila and Chris and no ties.

If they know they stand no chance withlosing Chris, they may go for Ricky, Ali, Chris and Laila with no ties but that is going to be difficult to substantiate with Chris on Samba if Laila has ballroom (I've no idea what Laila has left).

If they know the exact order of voting then hey are in the best position as they can completely turn it on a head with their scores.

Next week is a dangerous week for Chris and I think we have to assume he will be bottom with the judges. The only way to get him through next week is on public vote as a Samba in the dance off stands no chance against anything! I will vote for them so long as Ola doesn't play the 'look at me' catsuit vote.
