EE & Brookside: Burying A Body
I know you all were curious to find out how you could bury a body in 10 minutes, but I was wondering - this is soap, so it can be done, and it was done well in the episode.
By the way, how long did it take the Jordache's & Sinbad to bury the body under the patio, if it took Lucas 10 minutes?? |

I'm just asking about the Brookside episode please, because I forgot how long it took... compared to Lucas.

I thought it was only Mandy and Beth who buried Trevor inititally - though it didn't take them very long of course. Though they probably cut back to the actual scene to give the impression some time has passed! One thing that always sticks out about this storyline was that Sinbad helped them dig him up again because his sister wanted the ring off his finger - so the three of them dug him up and re-buried him. What always amused me about that was that Trevor had no rings on his finger when he was killed. so it was obviously just an excuse to get Sinbad involved in moving the body! lol |

They had to pull up and relay the patio in Brookside. I imagine that took a bit of time.

Only Mandy and Beth buried Trevor. The hole was already dug as Mandy was putting a pond in, so they used the hole to put the corpse in. Took them about an hour I'd say but they waited until the early hours of the morning before dragging Trevor outside.

I think the fact of the matter here is that he buried him in the square during a hen party where the Vic was full of people, and you can see the square from almost every bodies window and nobody noticed a thing?
Also, he didn't just bury a body, he planted a tree - it all seemed a bit too far fetched. I know it's soap but it's meant to at least try to be realistic, so we as the audience can at-least buy into the storyline. |

I know it's soap but it's meant to at least try to be realistic, so we as the audience can at-least buy into the storyline. It wasn't the hen night it was the wedding night, and there was a lock in at the Vic so people wouldn't have been going in and out. There would have to be a reason for someone to look out of their window such as a noise or something, so I can believe that no one from the nearby houses would see what was going on. I had to walk through the streets where I live late at night last week to get my son some painkillers from our 24 hour Asda and I didn't see a single soul either there or on the way back, and I live in a residential area with pubs shops etc. so it isn't so far fetched that he could drop the body into a hole that had already been dug and then cover him up without anyone seeing him, the fact that he also planted a tree is pushing it a bit though

If someone saw him plant the tree, then they proberly thought he was just....planting the tree for his son's mum and his ex on his wedding day to say "life goes on, but we won't forget you" kind of thing.
So theres every chance he was spotted but as he wasn't just burying a body, he was planting a memorial tree for his ex, then nobody would have batted an eyelid. |

Didn't Warren and Justin bury Sean in the forest in HO too? Indeed they did. The farce continued with that when Jake was framed for his murder, admitted it, and it was taken as true - and he'd never even spoken to him in the short time Sean was in HO! He probably wouldn't even have known him if he'd seen him. That's almost as daft as the baddie and the schoolkid burying him in a forest somewhere! |
