Fans of other contestants are starting to feel threatened by the one couple never to have been in a dance off, I think

It happened with Tom last year.
Strangely enough I was about to say the same thing

I don't feel threatened I'm more than sure my favourite will be packing her bag next week, I'm resigned to it.
Just hope they sort out this 2 or 3 person final situation or Chris might be following the week after if it's down to the judges.

So he's 38 and has a bit of fun and personality?!

Oh my God! How embarrassing!!
Actually I think he has moved into embarrassing Colin Hunt mode.

What a spiteful thread. I think fans of certain other couples are getting a tad worried about the popularity of Cola:yawn: Probably the same people who complained last year when Tom won over teachers pet Rachel.

Another poster mentioned it on another thread and it hit home with me. All that mugging to camera is a turn off for me. He's like a mini Donny Osmond. Too smarmy and cheesy for me. He's a funny guy but its counterbalanced by all that look at me I'm such a cheeky chappy.

LOL! He's pulling that face in the photo as part of their performance where he is acting the doofus!

Unbelievable!

This is rather an unpleasant thread isn't it, and please don't tell me not to read it as this would defeat the purpose of a forum.

I do understand that people might not like Chris and Ola's dancing, because they prefer better dancers or because they do not get the partnership. Saying that he is a weird creepy little man is actually quite offensive, and shows how lovely anonymous a forum is. I don't think anyone would want to tell him that to his face. As for having fun when you are 38 and behaving childish, so what? We are very lucky that we are living in a time, when people don't have to behave in a certain way. I'd rather spend my time with someone who knows how to enjoy themselve then with someone who act their age.

By the way, it's possible to support your favourite without bashing other contestants for their looks (because it's seems to be that his height is one of the main criticisms on here).
Agree with all your post but particularly the part I put in bold! I hate all old 'act your age' ethos! I resolutely refuse, I am currently trying to be an embarrassment to my kids and one day will endeavour be an embarrassment to my grandchildren!

Well said Buddy

I love Chris and Ola because of they're fun. There's enough misery everywhere if you look for it and, to me, these two are a little ray of sunshine in a dreary world (especially with the weather where I am today rain, rain and more rain! )!

It is a very long time since I acted my age! I might have to grow old, but how grown up I act (and when) is up to me!

Bottom line: It makes me happy to see Ola and Chris as a couple on SCD & ITT! I hardly stop grinning!

I would buy that if I thought it was his personality - and in the beginning, maybe it was. Now, I can't help but think that they know that their "personality" is popular and as such will ram it down our throats at every given opportunity. I actually don't dislike either of them, but I just wish they'd cut back on the "WE ARE THE HILARIOUS TEAM COLA!" stuff.

Well, my favourite cannot win (unless they decide after her tango in the final to open the 'phone lines for her as well! ), so I'm certainly not feeling threatened!
By the way, the face is part of the performance.

And I know you don't like Chris anyway but this type of hate has only come onto DS this week, which happened last year at this stage with Tom.

I liked Tom though. I wanted him to win. And I like Chris too, though he isnīt my fav.

Surely we can say we donīt like some of the faces he pulls without being accused of jealousy? I said the same thing about Natalie, I enjoyed watching her but hated how her mouth gaped open.

Itīs not a m,ajor thing but some people do find it incredibly irritating.

I appreciate that Chris isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I find him cute and funny!

At least he has a bit of character.

No I didn't mean everyone who hated Tom hates Chris.

Also, I didn't say anything about jealousy, I said people are finding him a threat now, which I think will lead to his downfall. A Gethin style exit.

But anyway, maybe the face pulling isn't to everyone's taste but he doesn't do it off the dancefloor... So it's not part of his personality, it's part of the dance.

The "hate" part of it was directed at those calling him creepy and other nasty things that go a bit OTT when he hasn't done anything wrong.

Oh but i could laugh at some of the posters calling people haters.
These are the same posters hating on Ricky and Laila in other threads. It does look a tad hypocritical.

I know I am obsessing a bit here but he pulls faces that are not part of the dance at all. I couldntītake my eyes off his face when they did the VW...it was just bizarre. Itīs such a shame as I love the VW.

It was the same with Natalie. I really liked her but every week she would start the dance pulling a stupid face then continue with her mouth gaping open. It spoiled wehat she did.

I wish he didn't do it as it puts me off him and I want to like him...loads of peoiple do, I feel Iīm missing out. I had to look away when he had his tongue sticking out when he did the charleston. It made me feel queasy

This is how I feel. I don't understand it - but perhaps I just don't get it.

And the Nat Cassidy threads... and probably all the other dancers but Team Cola threads!

Personally, the gurning and LOOK AT ME! I'M A PERSONALITY antics crossed from sweet to smug and saccharine a few weeks back. Of the 4 remaining couples, Chris is the weakest dancer. He did a couple of good ballrooms, but his latin hasn't been all that. He lucked out getting the Charleston this week. Had it been rock'n'roll, he'd be gone!

Gets annoying and boring after so many weeks. Then again the comp goes on too long and everyone can get annoying when you hear the same stuff over and over.

I like him on the news, I like him on scd, I can't abide his face. OK, the face is fine, the expressions he pulls. Last night's was ludicrous.

Well I found the pair of them extremely irritating until last night, when I finally 'got' their relationship.

That Charleston was so much fun they just couldn't have put on an act for the viewers.

I was driven to vote, something I thought I would never do after Jade's departure.

I think they might struggle with the AT - but should they make the last two, I can see them bringing the 'feel good' factor to their show dance in bucket loads.

I initially found him funny, but I feel I;ve seen the same funny act from him week after week. Its getting stale. He's too bad a dancer for me to root for him. Ali all the way for me as she has shown a lot of heart. Chris feels too fake to me.

Well either a lot of heart, or the injury wasn't quite as bad as we were led to believe. She's also dreadfully dull.
