Alesha wants to concentrate on her music career, so she might not be back, I am not sure she'd be on Strictly tour either. If I were Arlene and they wanted me back, I'd make them beg and get myself a better salary and a contract for at least 2 years. They kicked her out to get Alesha, who can't be arsed anymore.

I think the judging panel has been much nicer without her. And Alesha has done what she was put there to do - give an insight from the celebs side - I think she's done a damn good job and doesn't deserve the slagging off she's received. Not saying she hasn't made mistakes, but everyone associated with the show from day one has made mistakes at some point. |

Me too - makes me laugh when people go on about her knowledge etc, when the running joke was her alliterative comments!

How does her 'endure' comment to Craig K in Blackpool fit into an insight from the celebs point of view. She might have been hired to empathise with the celebs, but she soon forgot her job description and actually thought she was qualified to comment on the finer points of dance. Whenever she starts her critique with "I wanna see," I laugh out loud. I'm minded to quote Alexander Pope: A little learning is a dangerous thing. |

I thought you said you mute the sound when she's on, so how would you know what she says?
![]() Anyway whatever happened to your 'boredom' of debating the Alesha issue with me? |

I didn't mute the sound until she made her cackling appearance on ITT - I did so again on Saturday night and will do so forthwith.
Anyway whatever happened to your 'boredom' of debating the Alesha issue with me? Anyway, it looks like you will doing a lot of muting next year too... |

I was curious as to how you knew what she was saying when previously, you said you used the mute button whenever she was on.
Anyway, it looks like you will doing a lot of muting next year too... If I'm very good and say my prayers who knows what will happen? |

If she could be joined by Bruno, that would be even better. |

Hmm ... well, Alesha's one out of character moment and her bad grammar still beat Arlene's lack of professionalism and out-of-control ego. By a mile.
Arlene is better a part of Strictly history. If she could be joined by Bruno, that would be even better. Imagine the result if Alesha was given the remit to choreograph a West End show. Shock, horror - and closure within 3 months. |

Thanks for posting the mysteriously missing links, Grey.
I do hope that Arlene comes back. She is fun and sparky as well as having a lifetime of experience in dance and choreography. I miss the particular energy and personality that she brought to the panel and find it a little dull without her. |

Alesha's bad grammar doesn't bother me, but Arlene's lifetime knowledge of dance and choeography compared to Alesha's 3 month experience under the guidance of Matt C is a bit like comparing Bollinger to Cava.

Nothing against Alesha Dixon, but i really do hope Arlene Philips is brought back on the judging pannel for Strictly 2010.
I think having five judges would be too much therefore, i think Alesha should go. The chemistry between the original four is just great. |
