Possible Ricky VS Ali Dance Off
TylerTango
29-11-2009
Sorry if this is just my poor calculations but my theory is...

Judges:
4. Ali
3. Ricky
2. Laila
1. Chris

Public:
4. Chris
3. Laila
2. Ricky
1. Ali

Chris = 1 + 4 = 5
Laila = 2 + 3 = 5
Ali = 4 + 1 = 5
Ricky = 3 + 2 = 5

Meaning, if Ricky is more popular than Ali, or if Ricky gets scores higher than Ali but Ali is more popular, we could have a Ricky VS Ali dance off.

Again, sorry if my calculations fail.

they could fix it though, if Ricky is getting more votes then Ali just put him top of the leaderboard therefore preventing him from being in the dance off.

Your calculations are correct - this could indeed be the scenario.

When overall scores are tied the decision goes to the public vote.

In this instance Ali and Ricky, being the bottom two in the public vote, will dance off.

It could still happen if Ricky and Ali's positions were reversed in the both opinion of the judges and that of the public.

The judges cannot control public opinion.

Even if Chris and Laila dance better than either Ali are Ricky next week the judges will not mark Chris and Laila above them. You just have took at yesterday's dances with Ricky and Laila. She out danced him in the two dances and was still marked lower than Ricky. Alesha said in an interview last week that she wants Ali and Ricky in the final. I still think Chris could get to the final because of his fanbase. Donny on DWTS finished bottom in the semi final and still made the final.

I'm sort of hoping Ricky VS Ali dance off with Ali being saved..

and I agree Lucy, Laila outdanced Ricky in both dances yesterday

I think Laila will be in the dance off with Ricky next week.

There is a possibility that it will be Ali and Ricky, but I doubt it very much.

Floorcraft (as far as my limited knowledge goes) is a lot more complicated than 'bumping into each other once and therefore should be marked down'. The choreography, covering the floor etc count...its all very complex how they are scored!

Ricky and Ali's VW were of a better standard than the rest, so the small collision at the end didnt really count.

Actually Ali and Brian almost did the same to Laila and Anton about 2 seconds before that.

Fingers crossed

I'd be happy to see an upset this weekend. It's all too predictable at the moment.

Chris & Laila will be getting a fair few votes from me next weekend.

It will alter the scores but not the actual point system.
