Opening titles
This has been bugging me for a while.
![]() How are the celebs/professionals ordered in the opening titles. It's not in alphabetical order........do you think it's randomised? |

It bother me too! Can't see any pattern with first or surnames of celebs or dancers. Maybe it's the order in which they sign up as in Ricky Groves was the first to sign on the dotted line and Martina Hingis was the last?

I often wonder that too!
Sometimes I wonder if the last person is considered to be one of the most famous? Like Martina Hingis... and Rachel Stevens was one of the only ones I knew last year. |

I can't see any patterns over the series, so I assume it's fairly random.

I guess they pick the moves that fit that section of music best.

My kids chant "Gone", "Still in", "Dance off last week" etc. as the opening credits roll.
This has forcibly highlighted that there was some definitely suspicious non-random clumping early on, as 4 of the first 6 to go were in succession in the credits. (Rav, Linda and the two Jo(e)s.) There's definitely a danger zone in the credits as well as the leader board! |

Ooh, Three Left Feet, my family can add to that conspiracy theory...
We chant 'In-in-in' etc or 'Out-out-out' etc as the titles come up. Not only did this mean that we have been ending our 'sing song' with a resounding 'out-out-out-out-out' since the beginning (poor Martina). Richard Dunwoody's picture comes up just before the music changes. Chanting 'out-out-out-out-out' at that point fits in with the emphasis of the music. And, since he left in week 2, we've had plenty of practice on that one too. Suspicious? Surely it must be... ![]() (My daughter gets the credit for picking up on this one - she's the musical one in the family) |

I believe it's just random. But on the subject of patterns. Ali, Chris and Ricky are all together, one after the other in the credits. So that could be bad news for Laila this weekend.

I do the chanting too - am glad I am not the only one - have been doing it since Series 1. How sad is that.

Another hokey-cokey family here - in out - geddit
. Makes us feel quite christmassy as we get more outs and fewer ins - not long to the final, and then the big day!!I am with the person earlier in the thread - randomness of ordering makes me very uncomfortable - in fact I might have to break in and reedit in a tidy - age, alphabetical, doesn't really matter - order ![]()

Martina could have been really good, IMHO, and to my untutored eye was better than Rav in any case! |

Wondered the same thing. Was even trying to see if there's a correlation between position on the opening credits and how they do on the show (the new pink dress) but no deal.
I keep looking but I'm sure there is no pattern.Quote:
