Austin Healey.
Gethin Jones and Kelly Brook. I have a tragic track record on the previous two years, which was galling when I'd supported the winners all the way in the previous 3 series! |

I liked Jodie and Ian last year. When it came to the final two I would have chosen Rachel but it wasn't a big deal for me. In series 5 I didn't care much either.
The last couple I really supported were Matt and Lilia in series 4. |

Austin and Erin last year,
Matt and Flavia year before, Mark and Karen the year before that. I tend to find that I end up rooting for the couples whose chemistry I find interesting to watch. I wouldn't remotely suggest that Cola are the best technical partnership on the show but they're the ones who entertain me the most while still maintaining a decent level of technique and performance. |

Rachel & Vincent.
Just goes to show how you can support the talent one year and the entertainment the next. |

Tom and Camilla last year (although I liked Austin too).
Gethin and Camilla before that and Mark and Karen the year before that. I think that they all had the right blend of ability and personality.

I didn't really support anyone specific last year.
I thought Kristina's choreography for John Sergeant was genius but I wasn't an enormous JS fan. I was happy he wasn't out week one but I was ready for him to leave a couple of weeks before he withdrew. I also loved Tom & Camilla's showdance although I wasn't an enormous fan of any of the final three. Overall, I think my favourites last year were probably Ian & Jodie. This year my (equal) favourites are Chris & Ola and Jade & Ian before they had to withdraw. |

I was wondering team Cola fans who you were supporting last year?
![]() It's only apocryphal, but I've noticed that quite a few Jade & Ian fans are also supporters of Team Cola (including me). Quite what they might have in common is anybody's guess - little & large perhaps? ![]() But, like I said, it's only apocryphal.

It might be more instructive to ask which other couple Chris & Ola fans have supported this year.

Austin and Erin This year didn't really start supporting anyone as such liked Jo Wood (bless her), Tuffers and Chris so now I'm down to Chris |

Had there been a 3-couple final, I'd have loved to have seen Chris & Ola in it, along with Jade & Ian and either Ali & Brian or Ricky & Natalie, but I would have wanted Jade & Ian to win. |

Jade and Chris were getting one vote apiece from me right up til Jade's injury. Now I've stopped voting as I don't give a toss about the outcome any more.
This series has been tough because the balance of chemistry and talent just hasn't been there for enough couples to make it interesting. Mind you, I felt like that about the last series too. When you get a dearth of the above combo, you have to decide whether you're going to go for chemistry alone or talent alone. Up til now I think I've always come down on the side of chemistry. I also tend to support the male celebs rather than the girls; if I like a girl it's usually because of their male pro. Jade was my one exception to that tendency so far ![]() Sorry OP, have rambled on without answering the question; it was Tom for me last series, and before that it was Matt, Ramps and Colin. |

» Too many people to match up and hope that the chemistry will be right. » So many contestants that the series feels never-ending and so we lose interest in the outcome. Perhaps if the BBC wants to freshen things up, they should reduce the number of contestants, as other people have suggested. To my mind, if there's so many couples that the powers that be feel a need to divide them into two groups at the start of the series, then by definition there's too many contestants in the series. |

I liked Tom towards the end, mostly by default as couldn't bare Lisa Snowdon and thought Rachel was sweet but dull (her miserable fiance kind of killed it for me)... In the end I think justice was served as his showdance was wonderful. Prior to that I would have loved to have seen Cherie win it.
Previous year - Gethin and all the rest were as the final result. |

It might be the personalities. While I agree they're very good, I find Ali & Brian and Ricky & Natalie to be very bland. Jade & Ian, however, were also good enough to be in the final three but there was more personality and fire in their performances. I enjoyed watching Jade & Ian but, for me, Ali & Brian and Ricky & Natalie are somewhat unmemorable.
And Chris & Ola's partnership is just lovely: Ola's not playing up to a cheeky chappy image, like Erin did with Ricky G, but I find that Chris does have that genuine cheeky chappy sparkle to him and he's really shown us a new side to Ola. Had there been a 3-couple final, I'd have loved to have seen Chris & Ola in it, along with Jade & Ian and either Ali & Brian or Ricky & Natalie, but I would have wanted Jade & Ian to win. Last year Austin was my man, the year before any of Alesha, Leitita, Gethin and Matt (though I did have a soft spot for Kenny). Year 4 Ramps or Matt D, and Year 3 was Darren G. Year 2 I loved Jill and Denise. |
