Sam was in shock when she heard she was leaving, then tried to put on a brave face.

That fixed smile when she said "is it really" when Ant and Dec announced she was evicted said it all. She really thought she would have been there a lot longer, and in all honesty, at the beginning of the show it all boded very well that she would indeed last a long time. She and Gino did that first trial together and she was gusty and fun.

The absolute end of her hopes was when Pricey arrived and proceeded to take over that entire first week. Sam seemed to disappear into the background at that stage, her role as the busty model being well and truly hi-jacked.

Her level of annoyance now that she is out obviously is an indication of how much she wanted to kick start the career in some direction.

I cant blame Sam for being upset to a degree - Pwicey going in completely changed the dynamics of the show and the momentum she had on the first day was completely lost. As for her comments about the others - well everyone went in wanting something from the experience, including her. Even George had decided he wanted to raise his profile over here.

But again, without the live feed who can really say that she's 100% wrong with her perceptions? That's the problem with feeling isolated along with being in such an unreal environment - something that might be a small thing gets blown up out of proportion (like this candle business). Some things she might be completely wrong about and others she may just have a point. Either way - we'll never really know. Without the Pwicey debacle I think Sam would have been around a lot longer.

I thought she came over surprisingly well in the show, considering how bad she looked in that running-a-bar reality show. I also thought she did fine in Wife Swap, despite being put with the nightmare Freddie Starr. Maybe she's just growing up at last.

It seems she may have been a bit miffed about this and that since she came out of the Jungle, but I'd advise her to bottle it. No one has any sympathy with crap like that. The likes of her and Lucy Benjamin have to accept a backseat when there were people in there with more charisma and gift of the gab, such as George, Gino, and Kim. Maybe it's true that the men didn't give her as much 'attention' as they did to Katie and Sabrina, but, come on, she's a lesbian in her forties--why would they?
