Strictly Results Show

I've just noticed that the Beeb in their infinite wisdom have put the SCD Results Show next Saturday, on a different Series CRID from the main show !!!

Like you're going to want to record the main show, without the results

I don't know what planet these people are on, sometimes..

Anyway, a warning for you to set it up separately, if it's a show you record.

Rgds.

Has anyone else noticed a distinct lack of postings from BBC Tech Team recently? I wonder why?

Last night I decided to cancel and re-request my scheduled series recording of Top Gear and also Royle Family on BBC HD. Top Gear behaved, but there was no red clock icon for Royle Family yet when highlighted and OK pressed I was asked if I wanted to delete the scheduled recording. So thinking I had requested it on BBC1 by error I checked there and again no red icon! What is (not) going on ?

Ah ha.

Last year it caused a problem, because the results weren't in HD and if you wanted to record the results in SD you were also forced to record the proper show in SD.

As the results are in HD this year though, I can't see any reason why they should be flagging it with a different series ID.

Yes, they haven't posted for a while, although strictly (no pun) speaking, they are the BBCi Tech Team (Red Button services).

My TG has been OK, but I don't record RF.

Back to SCD - I looked on Freeview, and they've got it right on there, the results show is picked up by the main show's SL Timer, and it's right on Freesat BBC1.

So watch out if they realise their mistake, and change it again on Freesat HD!!

If I spot anything, I'll post back.

Shouldn't have to monitor things in this way

I've just checked and it's only BBC HD they've messed up - BBC1 is fine!

As predicted in post #5, the Beeb have spotted their mistake, or someone's pointed it out to them, and it now has the same Series CRID as the main show, on CH108
