I have been kicking myself for the last few weeks that I didn't back Chris to win because I thought there was something special about him. He has the Donny Osmond factor and after this weekend they have now proved to be the only couple that have not been in the bottom two. I think he stands a great chance to win. Anyway Betfair are offering odds of 7/1. I've just placed £20.00 but I was reading on another site that people are starting to think about backing Chris because of his odds and the non final two bit.

Anyway, I just thought I'd let my favourite DS friends know this info just in case you are interested.

I know that today one of the bookies have said they think Ali will win but I don't think she will. I worked out a couple of weeks ago that Chris had to be receiving the highest number of viewer votes to not be in the bottom two. He's doing well. Also personality wise Team Cola has so much personality compared to the other couples and his dancing is getting better. He is like another Tom Chambers.

Anyway, it's up to you.

Team Cola all the way

My sister put a bet on him when he was 6/1

And I couldn't stand Donny Osmond. Chris is so much better

I don't bet but I want to take you up on your last two sentences. Chris is more extroverted than Ali or Ricky but that doesn't mean they have less personality. His dancing is not getting substantially better and he's not another Tom Chambers. I like what he's brought out in Ola and I do like the partnership. You are absolutely right about Chris's popularity but we'll all decide on the basis of what we are looking for in a winner. I'll be voting for the best dancer when it gets to the final.

Good job, when was that? Mine was about an hour ago. Here's hoping that Chris isn't bottom next week. If he is, he will be in the dance off no matter what. We need Leila and Anton to be bottom. I wish he didn't have the dreaded Samba.

To be honest I wait till the freestyle dance to make my final decision. Yes I am baised towards Chris but the freestyle might change my mind. I do believe that ususally the best freestyle dance wins. If you watched Dancing with the Stars last week Donny Osmond's was amazing and it was clearly a winning dance. I think the freestyle gives us the opportunity to see everything they have learnt all in one dance and also the opportunity to see their true personality in that dance, not the personality that a particular dance requires. I'm looking forward to it as all 4 of the couples left have very different personalities and styles so the freestyles should be very differerent and make for an interesting final no matter who is in it. I do think it should be Ali, Ricky and Chris in the final. Leila has been lazy in this show and I think she doesn't deserve to be in it any longer. All she does is moan about injuries whereas everyone else just gets on with it. Ali did this week, look at Phil Tuffnell and his surgery. They have all had injuries and just got on with it. In fact there has been an excuse for Leila every week, be it inappropriate name calling, Anton picking on her, injuries, only 6/12 hours training time etc. That's not competing fairly that's playing the sympathy vote. Fact - she is not good enough for the final and hasn't worked hard enough for it unlike the others IMO.

I do hope the PTB see sense and give us a three couple final - a two couple final will not work. And I can see the ratings dropping like a stone if they don't give us a three couple final

he should be 10-1 at least!!

He cannot escape a dance off if there is only a 2 couple final.
..and as soon as he is he is off.

people have said he can escape but even if he gets the most public votes he HAS to beat Lalia into 3rd place...

the other thing is everyone seems to think Ricky and Ali are getting the least votes with the public.. if this is the case it will improve Colas chances but why do they think that? Ali is 2nd to him in all the polls and top in others! I can see him going out to Ricky in the dance off... either this week or next..

sorry ..

PS ALI TO WIN!!

At one stage, I stood to win over £15,000 if Chris Hollins won SCD7... but it's now down to £6,000 as I made some silly mistakes Ah well... But sadly, I don't think he will win anyway, as the whole system is deeply flawed to the extent that even if receives by far the most public votes he could still miss out on even getting to the final, never mind winning it! Woe is me...

Not true - Ali is neck and neck with Laila - and Laila obviously got more than she did last week- she had to escape the dance off

How are they neck and neck?? Where is this? And why would she have got more votes than Ali??

The way i see it it was probably:

Ali 5 + 4 = 9
Chris 4 + 5 = 9
Lalia 2 + 3 = 5
.........................................................
Ricky 3 + 1 = 4
Natalie 1 + 2 = 3

I know - I have a source who I will protect. Laila got more public votes than Ali on Saturday. Natalie is very popular - her vote wouldn't have crashed from escaping the dance off last week to this week

You can currently get odds of 100-1 that there will be no elimination this Saturday - which I think is a great bet!
