Guys I really need your help on this - I have heard a whisper that a different scoring method could be used on Staurday that would make it nigh on impossible for the bottom couple to escape the dance off. Also I have heard that they are still humming and hawing over a two or three couple final

Well I'll add my support for the 3 couple final, although not so bothered about the scoring system.

I emailed the BBC after Jade left complaining about this blundering towards a 2 person final and how having a dance off in the later stages can lead to unfairness if the public favourite is not one of the better dancers...so I think I have done my bit.

Surely the scoring system was chnaged this year to avoid that very scenario (like happened to Tom last year)

Count me in but I feel like I'm in Groundhog Day...it's been the same threads and arguments now for two years when I think we can all happily accept the old first past the post majority vote system. I can't understand the control freakery on this side when Cowell can give the vote to the public. They're not even dancing for a professional contract for God's sake.

Me too - I hate 2 couple finals, they seem to me to be more about endurance than dance

I’ll sign on, for a 3 couple final. It’s much, much better for everyone involved imo.

At the end of a two couple final, they’re so tired they can’t really sell their show dance. I really hope they don’t go down this route again.

I have heard the same whispers and basically it is still possible for the 4th place person to not make the final with the most votes if they have a big difference in points to the others. The judges could decide who they want in advance and sort out the points making it virtually impossible for the public to get a person through. You need the scores to be about 1-2 difference from top to bottom for it to really work.

They say it has changed and it reads like it has changed but in reality the Judges still choose.

New scoring method - they already used one, last weekend, and that was bad enough. If they're meddling yet again - outrageous.


Edit: didn't you do another thread about 2/3 couple final a couple of weeks ago? Perhaps some of the people who put their names on that list might be willing to sign this one too if you pm them?

Will they ever learn to keep their noses out of it Just for the sake of controversy and publicity- they are outrageous.
