Just wondering how many posters have met any of the professionals/celebs connected with SCD?

The only ones I have met were when I went to see the live show and when I went to ITT (the year forum members were invited).

Well who did you meet then you havent name dropped ???

I have met Ian and Camilla twice and Gethin several times.

I felt shy and wanted a few other people to name drop first!

I know a lot of people have met the professionals through dance classes or exhibitions, but I wonder if anyone has met the judges?

I've met most of the pros (and some of the old ones) bar the new ones and Flavia, and also met Craig. Contestant wise; Kelly Brook, Natasha, Gethin a couple of times, Ramps, Bill, Christine, half met Jodie and Alesha, Lesley, Julian...and I can't remember any more. Memory currently fails.

I have met The bennetts, Ian waite, The Cutlers, Anton , Paul Killick

know Len and have judged for him at one his comps and been on judging panels with him too (not ballroom and Latin) have met Arlene many years ago

Darren Gough, Austin Healey and Matt Dawson - all in their pre dancing days. (Healey and Dawson on the same night in a pub in Leeds. They were drinking soft drinks whilst our group was hammered. I avoided making a fool of myself only because I had my hands full restraining my female colleagues from propositioning a youthful Johnny Wilkinson!)

Also met Dazza recently on a train. It's unbelievable that a guy built like a tellytubbie can perform such deeds on the cricket field and the dance floor.

Whilst we're name-dropping, many years ago I was "attending to a call of nature" in the gents' at the Crucible Theatre when in walked Steve Davis and took up station alongside! Celeb name dropping doesn't get much better than that.

I have met Anton and Erin a few times and they're both absolutely lovely

I met Ricky Whittle at a charity football match, he was really nice, especially compared to some of the other Hollyoaks people, lol

I forgot my husband has met Darren Gough (does that count) it was in Australia after an Ashes match in 2006 Darren said it was refreshing to meet someone who didnt know anything about Strictly.

That definitely counts. "What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine" as my wife says.

When I met him recently on the train I asked him if he was actually Darren Gough and he confirmed it wearily and did not look like he wanted to talk. When I started talking to him about cricket he really opened up.

I guess that the SCD thing was fun, but he'll really want to be remembered as a cricketer (and a very good one at that).

I met Emma Bunton backstage at a concert. She was simply lovely and spent ages posing for photos.

I met Brian and Kristina, both lovely, especially Brian. So charming and sweet.

I'm meeting Vincent and Flavia on February 26th or something.

I met Alesha at Radio 1's big weekend and she was absolutely lovely - she had pictures with and talked to everyone even though the security guards kept telling her to move on and not to take pics etc. She seemed really down to earth.

Although I knew OF most of the professionals, I'd never heard of all but 2 of the slebs.

I've met Matt Di Angelo, Louisa Lytton and Ricky Whittle, they were all really nice especially Louisa. And I'm meeting Vincent and Flavia in March

Karen Hardy her little boy used to go to the nursery i worked at.

I've met Brian and Kristina, they presented my with my dance exam medals, both very nice but they had to be somewhere afterwards so were in a rush at the end.

I am so jealous of you all!

My friend has actually danced with Vincent Simone and has met Matthew and Nicole Cutler many times and has had more than one photo taken draped against the gorgeous Matthew. A few weeks ago she went to an Open Evening at his Dance School and had a wonderful evening.

I nearly saw Darren and Lilia when I was in Blackpool in October - missed them by about three minutes. My friend has all the luck.

Met most of the professionals except the new ones and those that I don't really count like Hayley Holt. My personal favourites have been Karen Hardy, Nicole & Matt Cutler, Brian & Kristina, Flavia, Ola, James (although I guess it wasn't really meeting him, sort of stood next to him while a friend had a conversation with him) Anton & Erin.

Out of the celebrities, I've met quite a few, but the one that mattered to me most was obviously Natasha. Mark R was lovely too. Ali Bastian - very sweet. Oh My God, Heather Small is an absolute legend, too! Love Heather, hilarious when I met her! Most of the celebs I've met were around the series 3/4 era. The days when I used to get tickets to the live shows ....
