"Let me read you what the forum says"
Why is it that whenever Miss Claudia reads out what the forum says about the couple she is interviewing it is always sickeningly sucking up to them.
"You are wonderful", " your dance was the best I have ever seen", " I wept whe you were evicted", " you are the greatest ever", " you should never be eliminated" etc etc blah blah blah. Is it necessary to bolster the egos of these fragile "celebs" to such an extent with such gushing reviews. As Private Eye would say "Pass the sickbag, Alice". |

It would be extremely mean spirited to bombard the celebs with negative comments from the forums.
Do you really think that would motivate them or encourage other celebrities to take part in the future? We sometimes forget just how hard the couples work to entertain us and how nerve-racking it must be for them. They need every boost of confidence they can get. They already have the judges and the press putting them down. They don't need it from Claudia on ITT as well. |

It's about 10% for the celebs (they're celebs, they're familiar with fan mail by now and half of them are on the forums anyway) and 90% for the audience and fans who would mostly, believe it or not, prefer to watch something that's fun and positive, rather than back-bitey forum bitchery.
Although it would have been quite funny if Claudia had gone "campydancer79 on the forum says OH MY GOD CRAIG YOU ARE DELUSIONAL!" |

I would think you would have to do a fair share of sucking up for you to be picked out for a mention.

How about a thread entitled "It's not ALL lovey-dovey on the forums, Claudia" or "How about THEM apples, Claudia?"
In which we collect the week's most vile and vituperative vitriol, with all authors' aliases quoted, of course (OMG a double Arlene-alliteration-attack. Aaaargh, now it's three!) Which of you wouldn't mind being named and shamed? |

Which of you wouldn't mind being named and shamed? I can just see all four couples sitting on the sofa on Friday's show and Claudia saying, "Well, to get you in the mood for tomorrow's show, I'd just like to read you all a few personal messages from the forums. Ricky, GetHimAnAsbo says, 'You're almost as smug as Tom Chambers and your dancing bores the pants off me', Natalie, IhateAussies wants you to know that, 'You're so competitive it makes me want to puke. I hope you get a cr*p partner next year if you're still here. Which I hope you're not.' Ali, Blandandboring has this lovely comment - 'When is Ali going to show some personality on the floor instead of mincing round like a pampered little Princess?' Brian, Gohomeyank says, 'That American looks well weird - kind of like a serial killer - look at his eyes. As for all that mooning over Ali - be afraid Ali, be very afraid.' Chris, Gurners'R'Us is anxious that you realise that, 'You look like a right plank when you dance. Either you can't shut your mouth, you do an impersonation of Les Dawson or you look like you're constipated. And all this "cheeky chappie" garbage aint fooling noone!' Ola, Coverupyoubint wishes to point out that, 'This is a family show. I really wish Ms Jordan would put her assets away - she's putting me off my tea the shameless floozy.' Anton, Pasthissellbydate states that, "It really is time this idiot was put out to grass. His Latin routines are a joke - half the celebrities dance better than that pl*nker.' and finally Laila, Stopwhingingandgetonwithit would just like to say that, 'If I hear that whining drama queen trying to get out of training again I'll kick the screen in. She's just a lazy waste of space.'" Sound familiar? (Okay I cheated a bit with the Ola comment. She seems to have got off quite lightly this year.) |

Well it would be pretty easy to devise a generic one.

I thought the forum message was to over the top this week to Natalie.
I understand why Claudia doesn't read any of the posts calling her a heffalump lol but to say she didn't deserve to go out is wrong. She was the worst dancer by far. |

Does Claudia ever mention posts from the DS forums? I rather assumed she only used stuff from the BBC's.
I assumed too he only reads the BBC forum - makes sense as they are trying to get more people to go over there. |

![]() There were a couple of people's panels made up of FMs from here, a couple took part in a quiz and ended up gropping Craig (IIRC) and my obsessive ramblings were the reason Ian took his shirt off on ITT

I am sick of Claudia misrepresenting the forums.
![]() If she can't get anywhere near the truth about them, then she shouldn't mention them at all.

When Claudia says 'the forums' which is she talking about?
Is it digital spy? |
