Meaning of Floorcraft

What does the term 'floorcraft' mean? I heard Flavia mention it several times tonight on ITT and as a non-dancer I dont know what it means. Does it basically mean going round and round perfectly and not bump into anyone? Or something like that?

PS: Yes, I can google it but thought someone else might explain better rather than reading it on wiki..

Thankyou..

Yes, basically - being able to keep their distance from the other couples so there's no bumping and barging - the Pro Men would be expected to do a lot better than the celeb men, the female celebs job was to make sure they followed their partner. Typically, in this topsy turvy all eventful series, it seems it was the other way round and Ricky and Craig??? meant Chris *brainstorm alert* received a lot of praise from Karen and Flavia!

Hope that helps.

In the competition world its fitting your routine to the floor you are dancing on well, not getting trapped in corners moving all over the floor so the judges see you and keeping out of the way of others
