If you like it that much how come you haven't got it already? It's been out for over 17 years?

Yeah! Remember when Robson and Jerome destroyed the music industry in the 90s? Me neither.

But what can we do to stop the rats from following the Facebook pied piper and promoting a song nearly two decades old at the expense of something new?

The climb is not new.
If you liked it you would have bought it before now.

In case anybody didn't know, RATM are donating all their profits from this song to the Shelter charity for the homeless.

So download one of the greatest rebellious songs ever, ruin Simon Cowell's day, and give money to charity at the same time!

I'll admit, I'll be very impressed if Rage Against the Machine gets to No. 1, but what exactly will it prove? My biggest problem with this protest is that it implies that the Christmas No. 1 is actually of some importance, and that it was supposedly about "real music" before the X Factor starting dominating it. If you really cared about the integrity of music then you wouldn't care about the charts at all.

Of course it isn't, the X-Factor singles tend to be covers.

PS. I'm buying neither, because such a futile exercise isn't worth my money. I buy music I like.

I think it has gone down for maintenance (I hope). They are probably expecting a massive influx of hits during and after the final.

ah thanks. there's a note saying "The MAIN group seems to disappear every so often...FACEBOOK SORT IT OUT!" which probably explains it. although it's still a massive coincidence that it's happened at this time.
