Hi ! I have noticed that Tuner 1 has zero strength and zero quality. Tuner 2 is at 100% on strength and quality. I do have duel feeds from the LNB to the foxstat. Should I be getting a reading on both ? The reason I am asking is that my receiver says no signal then after a mini delay finds one. Thank you all. Roger

You have a fault somewhere.
Try swapping the 1 and 2 LNB connections and see if tuner 1 now works. If it does, yhou have a faulty LNB, connection or cable. If nothinhg changes, then the Humax has a faulty tuner.

Most common cause the centre core of the coax gets bent over rather than going into the socket hole.

Be careful with the diagnostics reading I had an oddity which I managed to replicate again after lots of random attempts. Here is what happened:-

I was recording BBC2 and watching ITV1. I had been reading a thread on here suggesting a factory reset may be a good idea after the firmware update. So I thought thats a good idea, i'll wait till BBC2 finishes and then do it whilst there's nothing on/or scheduled.

BBC2 finishes recording and I go into the menu system. Couldn't quite remember where the reset to factory default setting was but I ended up accidentally going into diagnostics. In here I noticed both tuners claimed to be on the ITV1 transponder however one tuner was happily reporting the signal levels the other was reporting 0.

Going back to ITV1 and channel hopping away and back again and then rechecking diagnostics both tuners were now happily reporting signal levels for ITV1. Just to double check I switched to BBC2 and checked diagnostics and also the recording I had made on BBC2 and everything was OK.

What I think happened was the tuner reporting no signal had been the one used to record BBC2 and although it claimed to be tuned to ITV1 I suspect it may have been in some unknown state.

As I say managed to replicate it once again but it really is hit and miss. I guess if you get a tuner reporting no signal return to live viewing and channel hop (possibly to a channel on a different transponder) before taking the diagnostics as gospel.

You sure you have the wires in the correct sockets, don't use the centre 'in' socket

Without a signal to tuner 1 it can't find the freesat home transponder. Sounds like a warranty job.

Funny enough I looked at the diagnostic screen on ours earlier today and it showed 0% on tuner 1.

I quit fully from menu's, went back in all was good.

It has always shown good signal/quality for both in the past, so maybe there is something odd going on in the diagnostics.

Last week I was watching ITV HD and recording BBC HD, I went into Diagnostics for reasons I can't remember now and both signal qualities were at zero!
Thinking it was something to do with ITV HD I pressed the blue button to view in SD and went back into diagnostics, after a slight delay boy tuners showed signal 100% quality 80%. Everything seems to be working OK since

Very strange that..
When i record anything I cannot go into the Tuners when i go to Diagnostics
as they are 'GREYED' out..
No trouble recording 2 channels at one time but
when not recording the Tuners are always the same frequency but
there is often a5% difference between them..
Is mine so different to others?

You can't get into diagnotics while recording, The recording must have finished before you were able to access the menu item

My first Foxsat HDR (ordered from Amazon) only had one tuner working. An old Sky box confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the LNB or cables.

I can't remember which tuner wasn't working but the Freesat wizard just never got past the first stage.

Amazon sent a replacement and it was fine.
