IMO Alesha sounded more believable all of a sudden

Yeh right, like in the way she loves to give Ricky Whittle 10 even when there are glaring mistakes.

She is not worthy of siting in that seat.

Surprisingly enough, she did!! One thing I wasn't so keen on was when she said that Laila and Anton 'get on her wick' - she hasn't got the knack of being more jokey in her remarks, if you see what I mean She is generally too inconsistent though.

Ricky isn't perfect, but there was nothing particularly glaring about any mistakes he might have made tonight. On the contrary, he was outstanding. And don't you think you might be being just a tad pious about the seat on which Alesha sits?

She plainly showed that she was p***ed off at Darcy being there - another female to take the attention away from her, and articulate to boot.

You jest of course.

Craig has never allowed cricketers to get away with their bad hands, so why does Alesha forgive RWs dreadful pigen toed dances and give him a 10?

And if you missed the way he was in hold during the Cha Cha, it was not perfect.

A 10 means a perfect dance.

Yeah. Because previously we'd all been saying how classy Alesha was.

Spoiler
Or, "were" if you prefer

That was yet another, just plain nasty and uncalled for, remark from Alesha I've really gone off her since she's been a judge. I didn't think she had a bad bone in her before all this......just shows how wrong you can be

I thought she was unecessarily rude to Laila.

Every judge has their own style.

I thought Alesha's was to be the nurturing, supportive judge that offers constructive criticism? Not the person who tells the celebrities she supposedly empathises with that they're getting on her wick.

But... but... Len says that all the time. That was the point of the remark.

Why don't you similarly chastise Len for saying that?

Is the world going mad?

For the second time this evening, Len says it to other judges, who are part of the pantomime. Alesha said it to a contestant who can't answer back. Can you not see the difference?

Actually, its all becoming really amusing now; instead of this> I've actually found myself going like this > at the ridiculousness of it all.

The sadness is that they do not realise how petty, childish and ridiculous it all comes across. I've done with it. I want no part in getting involved in what is tantamount to cyber bullying anymore.

Alesha is beautiful, full of life, not sitting at her computer being nasty and bitter. She's doing a great job , earning more than I ever will and making her fans happy.

To all Alesha fans on the forum, I suggest that from now on we ignore the pettiness, nasty, hatefulness and just enjoy Alesha.

A/ I'm fairly sure he's said it to other contestants - didn't he say something like that to Brendan at some point? I could be wrong, but I don't keep an obsessive track of the minutiae of judge comments. Unlike some people.
B/ So what? If someone's rude, they're rude. And, this may be breaking news, but they're all "part of the pantomime"; judges, contestants and presenters. There's no "artificial / real" division. Sorry if that shatters any illusions you had.

I thought Alesha seemed to have her nose out of joint tonight generally..... just thought it must be because she was having to share the spotlight with Darcy.

Alisha was always a bit common but tonight it was UNDERLINED by her contrast with Darcy, her personal and unprofessional remarks to Laila, and her really, really irritating 'you was' remarks.

I didn't see much articulation from Darcy - imo both she and Alesha were surplus to requirements.

I'd like to see 3 judges Karen Hardy and 2 others - who could also articulate on dance.

See, the ironic thing is, I'm not an Alesha fan.

I just think people are being nuttily obsessive about finding trivial stuff to obsess about - I expect an "Alesha's hair is attacking Darcey" thread any second now - but they're ignoring the important stuff.

And the important stuff is the content of her comments and the content of her marks.

I have to say that Darcy's grammatical mistakes surprised me more than Alesha's

I agree, Ignazio. Maybe three or four of the pros? I do like having four judges...just maybe not the four we have

Edit: can we keep Craig and Bruno though?

I sincerely hope/wish that Alesha has nothing to do with SCD next year; ex-dancers (even champions) should only be allowed on ITT and the occasional guest appearance (i.e. Jill Halfpenny) on the main show.

Alesha has brought sod all to this year's SCD.

Don't be ridiculous, Alesha's hair is obviously not attacking Darcey!

But I think her earrings might be...

I started a new Alesha bashing thread but it got a bit lost

Why?
She hasn't done a bad job of being a judge, despite the odds being against her. Yes her grammar is appalling but overall she has been OK.

I thought Darcey Bussell came over very well too. I was concerned there might be a bit too much deference towards her but, no, she was one of the team. I don't think Alesha's nose has been put out of joint in the least, why would it?

Made me warm to Alesha a bit more tonight, actually - yes she's opinionated and a bit gobby - but at least she had an opinion! Darcey was so wishy-washy, dull-tastic.

Does her laugh always sound like a coffee grinder or a slipping clutch?
