I thought she was awful - which surprised me, whenever I've seen her interviewed previously she's come across as genuinely nice.
Tonight, I found her cold, a bit stand-offish and ultimately pointless. If they wanted a fifth judge she should have been there from the very start, it's not fair to randomly bring one in now (to us or to her).
Also, it seemed none of the dancers were really bothered by her comments. But why would they be?
I found her a bit soul-less, too, but then what exactly would a ballerina know about the technical aspects (we ARE in the semi-finals tonight) of ballroom dancing, anyway? Alisha, although I can't stand her, at least has been there, done that.
I thought she was a bit boring, had no insights to give, and found her way of speaking very annoying ( the way she goes up at the end of the sentences).

I much preferred Alesha”
Crikey, is that really relevant to her judging?? Can't imagine what you make of Bruno!
Apparently she lives in Australia now so that might explain her voice - which I didn't notice, as I was too busy waiting for some really interesting ballet-related insights to the dances - a bit disappointed there.
Actually, I found almost all of the earlier show tonight a bit meh. Loved the pro dances in part two, though.
Did anyone else think the 10 she gave Ricky on his second dance was just because everyone else (except Craig, obviously) gave him 10 for the first one?
arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Aside from that, she looked lovely, but largely superfluous
but..
Not as superfluous and the you-was girl

My point entirely - she has no foundation for her critiques and the audacity with which she questions the choreography of the pros simply makes her a laughing stock.
The thing is..however would you have the confidence to do that?
Especially when there is alot of criticism going around..shoouldn't it have made alesha pull back abit, but no, she's getting worse, more confident than ever, telling celebs they are getting on her wick and that big hair just made her worse..as if her confidence was about to eat everyone up. lol

Doubt if she realises that!”
No I doubt that too. Flattering as it may have been to have been invited to be a judge and she was a deserving winner a couple of years ago but I couldn't have accepted the position if I were her.
Isn't the truth of it that in their confusion over gettind rid of of Arlene because of her comments about Seargeant the BEEB realised that that Alesha with her technical ignorance would look too silly from the quarter finals onwards so they thought that with Darcy Bussell they could still retain an element of Arlene's knowledge with Alesha's "celebrity contestant" view.
Unfortunately by the time Darcy arrived Alesha was already discredited and so Darcy's lack of additional technical comment merely reinforced the chaos that had been started with the sacking of Arlene.
The whole situation with Darcy in terms of her comments, the scoring process whereby Leila and Anton were 14 points behind Ricky and Natalie (with 4 judges it would have been only 10 points at the most) and the fact that Len's vote could have decided the dance off by 3-2 made the show tonight one of confusion and even more chaos with the scoring.
The only redemption from this year's disaster of Strictly, Leila's Salsa summed up the whole series for me, will be that they can put Darcy in next year as a permanent replacement for Alesha which is what should have happened this year when they sacked Arlene.
I've met Darcy and she seemed very, very nice. And her status as a dancer goes without saying.
But, presumably, the producers thought that bringing her in would spice things up a bit and they were completely wrong. Especially as she turned out to be the worst of the 'we've already judged this based on past performance' brigade.

Your are joking. Just because she is a BALLET dancer, dosnt mean she cant comment on any other dancing. She can comment on footwork, leg and arm extension. Dont know whether you have been to a ballet either, but there are all kinds of dance going on there. Tango in ballet puts some of the professionals on SCD to shame actually.
