She was by far the weakest overall. She deserves to go tonight.

Really. What "poor area " is that? Because I really cant see Laila living in a council flat in Hackney.

Princess is an atitude, not a social class comment.........

I don't think she is particularly a princess, but she was far and away the worst dancer tonight, so hope she goes........ which is interesting because before the show started, I thought on form, the final 3 should be Ali, Ricky & Laila, Much as I love Chris....

She didn't sound or look sorry. In fact for a few weeks now I have had the impression that she is ready for it all to end.”

That just your impression. I, and many more people have a different impression and see someone giving 100% but the nerves beat her tonight.

I agree. Its hardly a stitch up imho when she was clearly the weakest on the night.

Yes, she can be saved but I don't think she deserves too. He AS was worth more but overall she was worst tonight. Ali was overmarked but she still had the right place on the leaderboard. It's a pity because she doesn't need to be overmarked to get that position. Ricky was also overmarked but, again, he was definitely the best - so position OK.

I hope the dance off is Laila and someone, with Laila to go. Don't mind who.

I realise a slightly higher score wouldn't have altered the outcome tonight, but that's not a valid reason to justify under/over-marking because it possibly could affect the outcome on another night.

I want to see judges mark fairly and consistently all the time. It's what they are paid to do.

And there's another, more subtle point to be made here as well. Dancing is as much about the mind as it is about the feet. The excessivley harsh critique and scores after the American Smooth seemed to knock Laila & Anton for six and could have unnerved them ahead of their second dance and affected their performance.

It's probably right that Laila & Anton leave next. But I felt uneasy about how events unravelled tonight. The judges really went for them and it must have been very discouraging.

Exactly its all down to "opinion". Just cos mine is different doesn't mean I am being nasty. I could be nasty if I wanted to - but I rarely go there.

I'd miss Anton's cheery face and witty asides if he went.

Why?

We all start somewhere.

She was indeed brought up in the East End.

Ali's dance was technically more difficult than Laila's dance - maybe that is why the judges gave her a nine. She performed a more difficult dance better than Laila performed an easier American smooth. imho the judges tonight were consistent in that they marked the dances correctly against each other - some weeks they have been way off the mark (Alesha particularly) but tonight imho they were not.

As for Laila getting knocked - they all had some harsh criticism imho. Laila always has some excuse for not performing to her best. Tonight she had the opportunity to wow the crowds given she had the AS - which can be one of the show stopping dances. She didn't do that. There wasn't much to that dance - yet she performed it badly. The Tango by comparison is a much harder dance to start with.

Choose as which way you cut it tonight Laila does not deserve her place in the semi final.

Their AS scoring higher will be their dance-off number.

Both will now be petrified at redoing two lifts. Laila nearly fell off the first time. Now she is demoralised and uncertain. Any self-doubt at 8 feet high will be serious. If she does not fall off she can injure her back.

This pair are a goner, and they may be falling out right now. What's the betting they will completely cop out of lifts in the AS?

I wouldn't. In fact I hope he calls it a day after this.

I thought Ali's Samba was worse than Chris' - it was still very balletic instead of fun and loose - also the cameraman caught the armography going slightly wonky (technical term ) just before the Samba Rolls.
I didn't think her Tango deserved all it got either so I would have put Chris slightly over Ali but not by much - perhaps Ali 80 and Chris 81/82.
Laila deserved more for the AS perhaps 38 but her Salsa was bad.
Through gritted teeth (because of Nat ), Ricky did dance the 2 best routines.

My leaderboard, Ricky 4, Chris 3, Ali 2, Laila 1.

People can vote for who they like for whatever reason they like.

And there was nothing 'really crap' about Laila's American Smooth. It was perfectly respectable.

You clearly missed her second dance then? And I can quite legitimately ask a question. Know-alls like you are such a bore darling:yawn:

lol I wasn't claiming to be a 'know all' nor was I stopping you from asking your question.

I was merely defending someone's right to vote for whoever they like without being sneered at just because they didn't pick the 'best dancer.'

We're asked to vote for our favourites remember.

Glad to see you have a sense of humour - others here have had the bypass.
