Abysmal camerawork

The dancing is always let down by poor choice of camera position and movement.

Normally I would agree with you but I thought the camera work was much better tonight - not as much flitting from one to another and you got to see a lot more of the dancers feet.

It was terrible tonight, to many upper body shots and missing a lot of footwork they really dont get it do they!

It really is absymal isn't it. BBC Entertainment only ever seem to use the same director for all of their light entertainment shows and the quality is really amateur and basic. There's no real creativity or thought that goes in to deciding the different shots.

Agreed, tonight was particularly bad.

Why can't they just have a camera that covers the floor and we can see the footwork & bodylines.

I thought it was better in one sense, as it didn't whizz around so much. Cut off the feet way too often though so still needs a lot of work.

I've said it a hundred times - they need an expert to come in and teach them how to record dancing and what it is important for the audience to see.

There was one part - Ali and Brian? - when the couple split and the camera let them both go out of view so we were watching nothing but wooden floor! Terrible.
