The judges will be paid handsomely for watching whoever is left, whereas the viewers would be left to watch the mediocre dancers without a pay cheque as a sweetner.

How is that fair to the dancers? They've put in hundreds of hours of training, but you want to see them in the dance off, just to upset the judges!!!
