This is general message now: if people cannot appreciate how good a dancer Ricky is, you all need your sodding eyes tested. A complete effing disgrace tonight's result was and flame me all you want to, I'm that frigging angry that people cannot realise real dancing talent when it does such a beautiful foxtrot in front of you. Go to specsavers.”

OK lets take this slowly.

1. People are not saying that he isn't the best dancer.

2. People are saying that he isn't popular.

3. Being the best dancer wins you the judges vote.

4. Being popular wins you the viewers vote.

5. Tess says "Vote for your favourite / Vote to save your favourite", she does not say "Vote for the best dancer / vote to save the best dancer". So people vote for their favourite, as they are told to.

if people dont like him as a person theyre hardly going to vote for him just cos he's a good dancer.

last year tom wasnt the best dancer but he was more entertaining than rachel

I have to say I agree with this.

"Blah" is about how I felt watching both Ricky and Ali (my personal favourite for the DO with Laila).

CRH has bitched all week about Ricky's pigeon toes; nice he was able to see Ricky finally had his feet turned out, the cameraman didnt allow me to be privy to that Mind you it did explain why Ricky spent practically the whole of the Cha Cha Cha looking at the floor.

Uninspiring.

Seriously? Get a grip!

He was and is by far the best dancer in this competition and the sooner people realise this the better.

He IS gentlemanly in his Ballroom (oooh, and leads incidently!)

He LETS GO in his Latin (which cannot be said for some other celebrities)

Apologies for the CAPS but come on - it has to be empathised!!

I think you should take a deep breath and calm down. Its an entertainment programme for petes sake and its not going to affect your life whoever wins.

Yes, Ricky might be the best dancer but as has been said year after year it is an entertainment programme and Chris and Ola give alot of pleasure to alot of people.

Incidentally I do go to specsavers and I still want Chris and Ola to win for the sheer joy they give me in an otherwise pretty boring humdrum life.

Without the appearances on ITT and other shows that the others have had, we haven't had the chance to see if he has a personality or not. I don't watch any of the soaps so before this series I didn't even know he existed. How would the GBP know what he's like? He was the best dancer tonight, but when has that ever affected the public vote? I judge by the dance, but others don't so you have to accept that they have a right to their opinion; and that opinion will be formed on what they see.

I see no white coats waiting to drag me to the asylum!
I can appreciate the quality of Ricky's foxtrot but I still shrug my shoulders and just don't warm to him or his partner.

Lock me up now.

I think Ricky is an excellent dancer, but I voted for my favourite, who happens to be someone else.

Nor do i see the urgent need to find an optician ,!!
He could dance like mathew Cutler and Vincent rolled into one and I still would be a tad indifferent

I won't vote for him because of her - too cocky, bigheaded & arrogant.

Ricky just does not have the love of the public. Simple plain, he could dance on air would not matter.

I'm sorry if my post offend Abba but I'm that incensed and have had a lot of champers.

Listen, I understood last week and thought it was fair that ricky was in the dance off as he gave a poor performance.

This week? Ricky danced the other 3 off the stage and I think if chris gave the performances that Ricky did and found himself in the DO his fans would be incensed and they would have every right too. And I am always honest on here, I would be equally angry too, if any of the other 3 gave that kind of performance and found themselves in the DO I would be outraged.

Yes, I've asked for slack and got it from some quarters and I'm very thankful. I've been respectful myself mostly in turn. But I'm that angry, it's almost like gethin getting voted out of the SF combined with Rhydian losing XF for me, utter travesty.

Code:
Ricky Ali Chris Laila
4+2=6 3+3=6 2+4=6 1+1=2 Top + Bottom DO
4+1=5 3+2=5 2+4=6 1+3=4 Top + Bottom DO

4+1=5 3+3=6 2+4=6 1+2=3 Top + Bottom DO
Ricky got 1 or 2 PV points
Chris got 3 or 4 PV points
Laila didn't get 4 PV points
Ali didn't get 1 PV point

That's all we can tell.

It's strange, for the first time I really enjoyed Ricky's dancing tonight and thought he deserved the marks he got.

I felt he came across quite well too.

I was resigned to the fact that Laila would find herself in the bottom two, but I expected Ali to be there alongside her and Ricky to go through.

Oh no I can't agree that it was like Gethin being voted off. I loved him and was distraught when Matt D was picked saved instead of him. Gethin had alot of charisma which I am sorry but I really don't see that in Ricky.

Ok , and people can understand that ,But shouting at people becuase they didnt vote for YOUR favourite is hardly gaining him any votes .Look at the replies you got and see how people react to it .

The public ARE mad. Ricky is A MILLION MILES the best dancer - the judges vote proved it.

Unfortunately, it is a popularity contest - people know who they are going to vote for before the celebs even dance

Ricky just as might as well stay at home next week because the munchkins and "shagger and shagger" will get through. They could spend all of next week traipsing around on their arses and idiots would still vote for them

It's not the "best" dancer.
It's the dancer we like best!!!

Probably because they seem to be having a great time - because we (with 2 left feet) know that we'd be pretty average (at most) but we'd love the opportunity and it's that delight we respond to.

I'm so glad they performed the AS as they did in the Dance Off though - they showed they could do it. I thought it was fab - just too late sadly

well it was for me ok?

I see I'm in the minority here and whatever. I was a Tom fan last year and now find myself in the same position Rachel fans find themselves in and it is not nice whatsoever. It seems the great British public like wacky personality and repetative routines over beautiful routines. I fell for it last year bur haven't this year. And that's fine, dance purist for life!

if thats the case then, why is it strictly come DANCING?

not strictly come cooking, or strictly come painting or strictly come pottery, or strictly come shagging

dancing ability MUST have something o do with it
