Aye, I think all he could do the "okey kokey" and people would vote for him. I'm not knocking him because I've voted for some "turkeys" in the past but, I don't see how he can lose.

I don't understand. I think it's the other way round - Chris won't survive a dance off against Ali or Ricky, much as I love him, the judges have got the result sewn up already. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't think it's that simple tbh. The order of public popularity appears to be Chris, Ali then Ricky. If Ali finishes top next week and Chris finishes bottom he's a gonner regardless of how many people vote for him.
I agree. Chris is OK good even, but they would be the worst winners since Darren Gough in season 2. Especially disappointing when Ricky Whitle is the best dancer this season wont mke the final.
It is a joke - I can't believe people have been suckered by the Chris/Ola marketing campaign - but hey I think, after tonight, we know who the best dancer is.
I hope Ricky takes his dignified exit next week because further participation is wasted effort.

If the contestants finish in the same order with the public and the judges next week as they did this week, Chris would be through. If Ali gets the most points from the judges one would assume Chris and Ricky would be in the bottom 2, assuming there is one.

Unless there is a rollover (all 3 go to the final) he is certain to go next week even if he tops the public vote!
If it was just down to the public vote Chris would win easily. But the judges will override that democratic decison.

but he isn't. Like I said if it finishes like this week it would be as follows:
Ricky - 3 + 1 = 4
Ali - 2 +2 = 4
Chris - 1 + 3 = 4
In which case, Chris would be through.

But that's my point - if he ends up in the bottom 2 he's a goner because the judges would never save him over Ricky.

but why do you assume that Ricky won't get the max points from the judges next week again? He may well do! If he does Chris would be through unless there is a radical change in the public vote....

I don't think you should be complaining about others not understanding the voting system when you clearly don't understand it yourself. He is not certain to go next week. He can still avoid the dance-off from the bottom of the leaderboard.

Yes - but (a) the judges vote before having seen all the dancers and (b) their voting is arbitrary e.g. an 8 vs a 9 from one judge can override hundreds of thousands of viewers votes.
Just scrap the dance off - have a combined judges and public score and whoever is bottom out of the 3 goes!

That’s funny, I was just thinking the same thing.
It’s a shame really because I thought the program was called Strictly come DANCING not Strictly come Entertaining. I know the show has to be 'entertaining' but surely the dance should come first and foremost?

For people who enjoy the show you clearly don't understand the voting procedure if you think Chris will win just because he tops the public vote each week!

right well i think that would depend on how they danced on the night, tbh. You can't say it would be at this stage. And secondly, it is clearly inaccurate to be stating there is no way Chris can get through next week when he clearly can.
I personally don't see any reason why the show wouldn't want Chris to make the final, given he is so popular with the viewers. I think people on all sides of this debate read too much in to things.
