Yes, he's a nice guy and yes, he's entertaining but he is also a one trick pony. Same grinning goofy routine over and over again. He's technically by far the poorest of the remaining dancers and should go. I have not voted so far but will vote for Ali and Ricky off the hook to get him in the dance off and therefore get him out.

No I certainly won't get rid of Chris, thank you very much.

I'll continue voting for Chris until I see him and Ola lifting that glitter ball aloft

What he lacks in technique, he more than makes up for in entertainment value.

And Strictly is an entertainment show, not the World Championships.

Since when was being technically perfect a requisite of winning SCD? You don't seem to understand how the show works.

Obviously you are entitled to your opinion, but I have to ask: did you just start this thread off to wind up Chris' supporters? You'll have to forgive my cynicism but there has been rather a lot of that going on in the last week.

So is the X factor .. but at least all their novelty acts have gone home now.

Since when was Chris a novelty act? The judges wouldn't give a novelty act scores like he got tonight.

Or is this the latest way of slagging Chris off?

Hello you

Glad we're still singing off the same hymn sheet!

No the X-Factor is quite different.

There is a recording contract awaiting the winner. So the public treat the contest much more seriously and tend to vote for acts based on vocal ability.

Strictly is for celebs who will go back to their day jobs once the show is over. It's a bit of fun. There's not as much at stake.

Do what you have to do - but don't ever underestimate the power of those who disagree with you.

I don't class chris & ola as a novelty act and neither do a large majority of the voting public if tonight's results are anything to go by.

This is a saturday night entertainment show and by that definition Chris & ola deserve to be in the semi's and even the final. They have grown and had the "journey" and myself and many many viewers will be voting for them on sat night.

Chris is mediocre 90% of the time. Because of the public mood and taste for cheese he's bound to win even though 5 or 6 of the others are/were better dancers, and will be the least deserving Strictly winner yet.

Good luck with trying to get Ali or Ricky to pull in more votes than Chris

I do agree that Ricky and Ali are better dancers than Chris, but out of the three Chris has improved the most over the series. Also his personality is so much more natural and warm than the other two put together. I, personally, enjoy good dancing WITH personality. If it were a serious dance competition people may have an argument for not having Chris there, but it's not

I don't think any of them this year are brilliant all-round dancers. Chris dances reasonably well, is modest, fun and entertaining. So he get's my vote.

I am afraid Chris is going to win this which is a great pity as is the worst Dancer left. The fact is that because he has the support of the lovies at the BBC the week before the final will be all team Cola in the BBC1 Breakfast show.

I thought Chris & Ola were the most entertaining tonight. They had such life in their dances and were easy to watch as for Ali she was bland and Ricky cold so I guess I will give Chris 2 votes to make up for the 2 your making, lol

[quote=Servalan;37111129]Since when was Chris a novelty act? The judges wouldn't give a novelty act scores like he got tonight.
QUOTE]

The judges just screw up the show, especially when they say how marvelous one is dancing Samba, best of the season etc. and then gives an 8 to Ali, and then say that Chris lacks dancing skills and fundimentals and gives him 8 in the same dance. They all criticized his dancing in Samba. He totaled 33. Ali was praised from each judge, and Darcy said best Samba of the series. Total 34. I don't get their thinking.

The judges should mark skill, while the public can call in for popularity. If the judges themselves cannot do a better job of separation, then Chris will win by public vote. I expect Ali and Ricky to be in the dance off, and Ali to go. If Chris is in the dance off, he will go, since the judges will pick the better dancer in Ali or Ricky. If Chris is not in the dance off next week he will win the final, since it is based only on the public vote.

There should be a three scores in the final. The total from all the previous shows 1/3, Judges 1/3, Public 1/3.

I'll be voting for Ricky OP. We're in a minority but I stand by my principles of appreciating the most consistent dancer and the one who has provided the best dances this series. It's a cold and harsh world here to prefer dance ability over 'fun personality' but there are a few people who do.

Only the judges can stop Chris now - and if Ali tops the judges vote next week Chris is gone even if he wins 95% of the vote (no way Ricky will beat Ali for 2nd place with the public).

So you will have your preferred winner - but the majoirty of the public who vote for Chris will have been cheated and ripped off!
