So true Sid , the vast majority who watch it would not know a fleckle from a twirlymajig, and enjoy it on a dark winter Saturday evening for a bit of entertainment

I for one would be bored at world Championships but can see how many love them and I am pleased for them
But this is not the old Come Dancing and was never intended to be .
We vote for and support our favourites for whatever reason we see fit and more people voted for Chris because the liked to watch him .Its very simple really

Agreed drbolognaise. I love Ricky's dancing and he has a great personality,it's just a shame the majority of SCD viewers don't 'get' him.

Chris Hollins is a lovely guy, but his dancing does nothing for me and the whole 'team cola' nonsense is cheesy.

Will be voting for Ricky on Saturday, but fear he will be 'the best dancer that didn't win SCD 2009'

How are you btw?”

Me too...nothing against either Ali or Chris, but I will be washing my hair if The SCD final night does not afford me the pleasure of watching Ricky dance.

same few people making all the anti chris threads

just because they are scared he is going to win

ricky has no chance the public just dont like him he has no personailty and every dance leaves me cold

i like ali but chris always entertains me and if you look back every fun dance has been his

so team cola to win and let all the antis keep making their hysterical threads

The bbc is always saying that the show is 50/50 - who the judges think is best, and who the public like the best.

So surely it's fair that the best dancer AND the public favourite get throught to the final?

It's fair SR but it does make the result very predictable Tbh I think they made a mistake when Jade left in not having a bye that week...I'd have thought they'd have learned by now tbh

Oh, and whatever happens in the next two weeks is going to annoy an awful lot of people...again Fortuneately for me, I'm not one of them

Equally I could say its a shame you dont get Chris , but I wont because its a daft thing to say .You enjoy who you like without patronising those who dont .
Maybe we all " get " Ricky and simply dont care for it .

I'm not trying to patronise anyone who is a Chris fan, just stating my opinion.

I've seen a few posts stating that Ricky is 'dull' or has no personality and I don't believe that to be true, he seems a lovely guy.

I respect that the majority of SCD viewers don't 'get' Ricky and seem to be preferring Chris or Ali.We all have different opinions and prefer different people.

My original post was just to put forward my opinion in that I prefer Ricky's dancing to Chris or Ali's.

Nowhere in my post was I patronising Chris or Ali fan's for liking them and I don't apperciate your inference that I was.

Not worth replying to if that's all you can come up with to describe Chris when you have the wealth of the English language at your finger tips!

I hope he does win - Chris really entertains and thats what the programme is, according to the BBC it is a light ENTERTAINMENT programme for all the family

Thats the beauty of it we all like different people - tbh perfect dancers from start to finish would be bloody boring

Given that there is now no dance off on Saturday, there can be no question now of 'getting rid' of Chris. His victory is pretty well assured.

I wasnot inferring that , I was inferring that to say we dont get Ricky is patronising , as if you can see clearer than we can ,. You seem to think we are missing out on what you "get "
Good for you for having a favourite , and enjoy his dancing ., I enjoy Ali but am not under any allusion that I am getting her and you are not . I simply enjoy who I enjoy and so do you , we differ thats all .

There's no fix. Vote for your favourite - it's that simple.

A fix in terms of Strictly would be for the production team to take power away from the public and give it to the judges. This is nothing like a fix as the public have the final say.

eg.

Judges 1st 3+1 = 4
Judges 2nd 2+2 = 4
Judges 3rd 1+3 = 4

Top two with public through

Judges 1st 3+2 = 5
Judges 2nd 2+1 = 3
Judges 3rd 1+3 = 4

Top two with public through

Judges 1st 3+3 = 6
Judges 2nd 2+2 = 4
Judges 3rd 1+1 = 2

Top two with public through

Judges 1st 3+2 = 5
Judges 2nd 2+3 = 5
Judges 3rd 1+1 = 2

Top two with public through

etc.

It would have been more of a fix had the public's favourite been stopped from progressing by the judges.

I'm just gutted they didn't introduce this change at the quarters - then Laila might still be there!

Only if he gets enough votes. If Ricky or Ali go it depends who their supporters decide to vote for , if at all.

Now that the dance-off has been done away with, I'm afraid there's no stopping the Cola Juggernaut. I feel sorry for the other couple in the final -- they have absolutely no chance against them. The Glitterball is theirs for certain...unfortunately.

I think my three year old daughter could have worked this out. Pathetic. Reminds me of Richrd Rich selling out Thomas Moore for Wales in a Man for All Seasons.

Its amazing how the BBC can change the rules to suit their own agenda. The penny dropped and they realised their man could go out this week and they cant have that.

Oh well no wonder their is a web site called Biased BBC its about how the BBC is very left wing bias, its good to see they have branched out into other fields.

Oh I wondered how long it would be before one of the anti Chris brigade chucked their dummies out of their pram

The dance off should have finished last week. The X Factor stopped the judges vote a fortnight ago, are ITV fixing it for Olly or Stacey or Joe? Nope, its simply more democraric to leave it up to the public to decide who goes through at this stage.

Your obviousley just being petulant because things have not gone your way.
