ITunes: Wow! Wow! Wow!

Hi! All
Over the summer I decided to get myself an IPod and bought an IPod Nano and it started on November 2nd, please don't worry as I will explain further.

I found and downloaded the following from ITunes:

1: Bruce Sprinsteen - Santa Clause is Coming to Town
2: Frank Kelly - Christmas Countdown
3: Carey Johnson - Real Fashion Reggae Style

All of which I have searched on HMV for and not been able to find for sale and I even did a search for Bruce Sprinsteen on Google and it said it was never released as a single, but I am so pleased to have been able to get a copy of the above.

I am not sure and can not remember the name of the singer but the song - The Bell of St' Marks, which I heard played on Steve Wright In the Afternoon on Radio 1 I really like and I have also been able to get this. Although I have not tried searching for the name of the singer on HMV since downloading it so they might have it.

But November 3rd was my birthday and December 25th is Christmas Day and what with having only downloaded Carey Johnson during last week, not only did my birthday come early but so has Christmas for me.

Yeah, for a site with stingy tendencies Itunes can really surprise you sometimes. I found Silver Ash on there (A China's first visual kei band) which I really didn't see coming!

Springsteen's version of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town is even better live, when he adds in story about meeting Clarence Clemons - an E Street Band member - then it takes on a life of its own. Enjoy your iPOd great to see some good taste going on it.

'Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town' was released as a single and was a Top 10 hit at Christmas 1985.
And it's on any number of Christmas compilations so is hardly obscure.

The Belle Of St Mark is by Sheila E is on an LP called 'The Glamourous Life' which again is pretty easy to get hold of.

It was actually the 'b' side to 'My Hometown' but a lot of radio stations unoficially plugged it as a double-a side single.

True yes.
My Hometown was the umpteenth single from 'Born In The USA' and while nice enough wasn't amazingly strong in it's own right.
