Heard Hot Chip's new song today.
Gotta say, I never quite understood the kudos they get, with even Kraftwerk jumping on the Hot Chip bandwagon and giving them a track to remix - they're not even an out-and-out synth band.
Never did get that one.
Initially, the new track sounded pleasant enough, all the right bleeps in all the right places but the song itself was just so :yawn:, whilst it ticked all the '80's synthpop boxes it lacked one major important factor - a good, well crafted song. It just style over substance IMO. But I guess they have alot of fans and I really didn't want to piss anyone off, just wanted to say Hot Chip - What's the big deal?
