This is the first time Ive seen SCD this year. A few thoughts that may be unenlightened but are untarnished by the weeks previous
1. Oh dear Alesha. You really are against it. The BBC may be trying to inject something youthful into the show, but your big hair and big accent just dont have enough friends amongst the pensioner presenter, your posh co-judges and the guest star of Bette Midler! Im guessing the 5 judges (any reason for that?) are to phase Alesha out. Shame as she seems to love the show (she keeps being on it) but her days seem numbered.
2. Ricky will never get the public vote because of his partner. She just isnt likeable enough - she can start by getting rid of that awful huge eyelashed wink she does whenever she gets a good mark. It makes me feel uncomfortable from hundreds of miles away - Id hate it if I was stood next to it.
3. Who is Ali? No, seriously. Im guessing, from the fact that the only thing I remember of her is how hot she was in her Samba dress, that she is a model. Am I correct
4. And Brian. Make up and stubble dont mix. It reminds me of Michael Jackson in court. I think you are a great dancer, but honestly you dont half look creepy sometimes.
5. This is Ola right? Ola Jordan? Unhappy Ola who has never enjoyed a SCD series in her career? Ola who has previously gained fans merely for her bosoms in the latin dances? I liked her last night. She is the real winner of this season.
6. I liked Chris (and he's good for Ola) but he wouldnt necessarily get me waiting for his dance, like I did with John and Tom last year. Maybe its the Sport Relief Tshirts, or maybe because he is neither good nor bad enough. Felt no real urge to vote for him tbh.
7. Leila wasnt enjoying it. Full stop. Best final result for everyone.
8. Bruce is no longer funny nor pitiable. I wont say a bad word against Bruce, he is an entertainment legend, but the BBC need to start looking for a replacement.
Overall the show was OK. I was quite surprised by the comparatively low quality and the uninteresting choreography. Ricky is quite obviously a long way ahead of the others and will probably get it on the Judges votes alone (and Im not quite sure why anybody would vote for Ali).
And was Camilla in it this year? Her and Ian (who I saw in the background) were my favourite 'partners'.
