If you're unhappy at the prospect of a dance-off next Saturday, don't moan on here. Contact the relevant people who can make a difference! I've been through the BBC website, and these are some very good people to contact.

So, if you're unhappy that someone could get booted off despite topping the vote, or if you think it's ridiculous that someone could finish second with the judges and be better off asking their supporters to vote for the person in first place in order to increase their own chances of survival, then contact this lot:

natalie.christian@bbc.co.uk (Editorial Policy)
itacu@bbc.co.uk (Phone Voting Compliance)
sam.donnelly@bbc.co.uk (SCD Exec Producer)

Yes! Lets all bitch and moan that the rules are being properly applied so the weakest dancer might not get through to the final where his fans can rig it so that he can win even though he's crap!

You might want to get your MP, MEP and Amnesty on to sort out the PANTS WETTINGLY APPALLING INJUSTICE OF IT ALL.

Thank you for the addresses and I have e-mailed them.

It's possible that Cola can win this if the viewers support them enough. That's the rules. However, I think a three person final would be better. I'd have like to have seen No elimination the week Jade dropped out. I will be emailing the BBC to ask if next year they will put in place contingency plans for the inevitable - IE, make the rule that if someone drops out, then no eviction, or have more couples in at the start to allow for wasteage. They can always have a double eviction towards the end if everybody does manage to make it through. I think the decision has probably been set in stone for this year, but it's worh contacting them with views for next year.

They did have contingencies but decided not to bother using them.

I did - well over a week ago, and haven't had a reply.

I really can't see why this thread is causing any problems. I can't see any reason why there shouldn't be a 3 couple final. (Yes I am a Cola supporter )
I was under the impression that a 3 couple final is the ideal and the only reason this doesn't always happen is because couple/s drop out for various reasons.

I am now ducking and running for cover

Let's see what today's "important announcement" is...

Everyone happy with that?

Oh God, it's going to be hell on here now.

*sits down and waits for millions of "Conspiracy!!!!" and "Chris is being favoured" threads.*

I think it's the fairest situation. It will probably mean Chris will definitely get through, but if he's that popular then perhaps that is right in terms of the show.

Well the conspiracy theorists will have a beef but I think it makes it fairer - and up to the public to vote for who they want to see in the final!

So the couple with the least votes goes?

Think I prefer that than having the judges decide

Yep!

Regardless of who's left and how many are in the semi final, there should not be a dance off at this stage. Common sense has prevailed.

I actually phoned the BBC on Saturday night (runs and looks for cover from all the brickbats heading my way)

I thought that the judges were appalling the way they basically condemned Laila and Antons latin before they even danced it. It was totally apparent that they were the targets for the night, YES I know Laila danced badly but I think I would have done had I been slammed like that in a VT beofore I danced.

Anyway thats slightly off subject - they lady I spoke to at the BBC was lovely and totally agreed I had a point about the voting system, the whole idea of a "fifth" judge was to prevent any ties etc - well aside from the fact I thought D'arcy Bussell was totally pointless - it doesn't prevent any such thing - apparently I was among a very large number of people who rang to complain on Saturday

Hmmm...I think it's made Chris a cert to lift the trophy but then he was anyway imo. I think 'not bothered either way' would be a better description than 'happy' of how I feel about it tbh
