Yes but Jade went several weeks ago, there was plenty of time to rectify this.

We already know who is going to win, so surely this is the biggest farce of all?

Extremely good point, Julian had never appeared in the bottom 2, Denise had been there (possibly twice), yet she beat him in the vote on the night of the final. If Ricky's voters get behind Ali, and if Ali picks up the floating voter - remember XF will be over by then and SCD may well pick up some less loyal viewers, it might not be a foregone conclusion.

But I am pleased there is no dance off, just wish it was a 'vote carried over' and a three persons final

I think in all honesty this would have been too much of a problem for them with the public vote.....last year they did carry forward the vote but they also said people could get their money back if they didnt agree (I know it was a last minute fix) I think this was a reasonable compromise myself.

Not really "the public", more like a pressure group sub-section of the public with a particular agenda of their own.

It is the public! Chris is getting the most votes. Doesn't that tell you anything?

Hopefully Ali and Ricky are good sports and enjoy the taking part, not just the winning.

More like a victory for the whiny Chris fans squealing "FIX" at every turn!

They may as well give the gurning hobbit the trophy this Saturday.

Why would that be so bad?

Oh. what a nonsense! Thousands of 'phone voters against Len, Alesha, Bruno and blah-de-blah. How can this be permitted? A blatant disregard of ..... of......

Oh, so most people prefer Cola? And they are going to win? How does that work?

I havent posted here much this series, if at all, but I've been lurking a lot, and I posted quite regularly last year.

And I seriously have to say, what do you people want?!

Last year, all I heard was "the dance-off needs to be scrapped" "no dance off when they reach the quarter finals" "the judges have to much power, the public cant pick who they want to win." And from what i've seen, these types of thread have been lurking this year too.

But now that its finally been done, and the dance off has been scrapped, your all moaning that its unfair and its fixed for Chris.

You people seriously cant be pleased. I personally would love to see Ali win this series, and realise that Chris and Ola are almost dead certs now, but seriously, who am I to moan when last year i'd have loved it if the dance off had been scrapped and Lisa wouldnt have been in the final over some of the others I liked. Its not a bloody fix, its what everyone called for last year, and for most of this year. Its so annoying how as soon as they do what youve called for, you criticize it anyway.

Vote for whoever is 2nd then and give him the boot. If enough people think like you do you'll have no worries will you?

Well for what it`s worth here`s my take on tonight's news.

All the BBC are doing is to let the public decide....Why do you think Simon Cowell ditches the judges veto for the last few weeks of the x-factor....well it`s because he`s not stupid. He knows the success of shows like SCD and the x-factor is down to the fact that the public decides who should win and not the judges.....

Quite simple really.....The only reason shows such as scd and the x-factor are on our screens is because the public decides the winner....If the public feel there is no point in voting because their vote can be over-ridden by the judges then the likes Strictly and other shows of the same ilk would loose all credibility....and that would mean NO SHOW......and lets not forget that historically more votes are cast for the final of shows such as BB;SCD;X-factor...ect...so who knows whats going to happen...This week we have the Argentine Tango...A dance that has the potential to produce a WOW performance...If Ricky nails it then he may pick up votes...If Chris cocks it up big time the his vote may go else where...As they say "there`s still a lot to play for and ain`t over until the fat lady sings"

Yes, it tells me that Chris received more votes than anyone else because his supporters were prepared to spend more money on voting than those of anyone else.
Nothing more and nothing less.
I don't know how many of the viewing public like him best since many of us don't vote.
I stopped voting in these sorts of shows several years ago when it became clear that multiple voting was playing a big part in the results.

So the demographic is that Cola command the A1s?

Fine by me. I am of that ilk!!!

Blimey you are quite vicious - do you actually know Chris then? - do you have justification for your statements?
Why so nasty?

The cutesy thing got old after about the 3rd week. I'm not surprised they're nicknamed Team Cola. He behaves, and dances like a 10 year old hopped up on it.

If you don't vote you can't complain.

You stopped voting when it became clear most people disagree with your opinions

Amazingly enough, different people want different things. Let me demonstrate.

I'm actually neutral on this announcement. I don't like the DO period...I want it abolished. However, I dislike equally the idea of the DO being suspended at some arbitrary point in the series....with the announcement giving only a few days' notice.

I'm neither pleased nor displeased. I think they made a mistake not eliminating Jade the week she was injured and carrying everyone forward with their votes and scores...but for all I know they would have pulled this manoeuvre anyway.

A bit of fairness and transparency. Announce that the dance off will be gone from the Semis at the START of the competition and not a few days before the semi final's due to take place.

The only way to improve it further now that they've got rid of the dance-off is to move to 'one phone number = one vote' - true viewer power would prevail and see who really is the most popular. The one with the most fans or the one with the richest fans that make multiple calls without having to worry about the phone bill..................

Do you think if I started enough threads and a few polls about my desire to be a professional dancer on the show, it would happen?
