Ahh right, obviously, because she's paid by the BBC then we're funding her phone calls - okay, so you think all BBC employees should have their mobiles taken away just in case they vote Cola then?

For once I think this is a good move for the programme - the last couple of times with a 2 person final to have a dance off with the only 3 people left seems ridiculous to me and really makes the winner seem obvious for the final.

So what if it benefits Chris - if he's getting the most votes he should be there.

Bye Bye Ricky then

A determined and interesting riposte there. You know what? Suddenly I find that I too believe this "it's-all-a-BBC-conspiracy" thing.

I would hope that all those claiming the BBC are fixing it for their employee to win or whose only argument against Chris is his face or his height will look back in about 6 months time and be embarrassed at what they have written.

If so, AK - can you let John and Greg know that some of us are still very unhappy about Digger Dean loosing Masterchef.

I fank you in advance

Too much time and energy of the show are wasted on the drama of who is in or out. We loose too much good dancing (like Hingis, Lucker or Healy) that could have provided so much more entertainment than the nonsensical false drama that is set up.”

I like the competition and the dancing. You can't box people into one side or the other, it isn't like that. And I don't spend a lot of time and money on voting, but it's all part of the process, and I like the process, and sometimes I vote. At the end of the day, this is a light entertainment show. It's never been just about the dancing, even as far back as series 1, so you can never say it's a serious dancing competition. But it is entertainment, and I am entertained by the whole programme. And it's not just me.

There's a time and a place to watch a serious dance competition, but it's not Saturday evening primetime on the BBC's flagship channel.

I hate the press, and particularly when they stir up all this drama that doesn't exist. That's not the show's fault. But then that's a different thread...

If nothing else, it does show that when they are backed into a corner and forced to stop prevaracating that the BBC come down on the 'entertainment' side of a dancertainment tea-time show.

That's kinda the point though, isn't it? If it was really just a dance competition, it'd be on BBC4 at about 10pm on a Wednesday. Whatever's on Saturday evening's is supposed to be entertaining.

Their maths skills have been sh*te.

Now all the little idiocies have come home to roost and they find they can't use any solution without upsetting one of two schools of thought (dance v entertainment) in audience opinion.

There's a pile of incompetence. Simple as that.”

Well said that person!

Also, if you look at the threads lots of Cola fans (including me) have been saying they would rather have a three person final!

Its the best all round- I personally am really happy that I will get to see all three go through- its the first year that I don't mind who wins from the three of them

The little madam ,? Well that made your whole post simply look less credible. Ali may be lots of things but a little madam she most certainely is not

I agree with you, ridiculous statement.

Oh please....it's no worse than what some Ali fans have been spewing about Chris the past few weeks. They obviously were relying on the judges getting rid of Chris so that she could walk it which is why they are throwing a major hissy fit all over the forum

No point watching - FIXED for BBC employee to win

I agree with half of this. For me, there is little point in watching now as it is almost certain that Chris will win. It is difficult to imagine a scenario in which he doesn't. With a dance off there was always the chance that he would go out at the semi-final and then the final would have been wide open and very entertaining. As it is, all the excitement has gone for those who are not keen Chris andOla fans.

However, I would doubt that the BBC are trying to fix anything. They are not that Machiavellian and why would they be bothered to try?

I believe that the BBC have cancelled the dance off in the hope of defeating Chris.

He will almost certainly go through in first place this week as he is the public's favourite.

If there were a dance off, then Ricky would also go through. However Ali is second favourite with the public and has a better chance than Ricky to pick up votes in the final.

Hence, no dance off.

I don't think the BBC have fixed it for Chris to win. They've realised how popular Cola is and have saved the judges having to choose between Ali and Ricky, a scenario some nice people on here have been calling for.

I think it's great that it's gone back to purely public voting, which it should be anyway. And also, I think the BBC are just copying X-Factor, as they go back to just public voting for the last couple of weeks too.

Quite, totally agree. The BBC has made a hash of this series in any and every attempt to keep up with X factor. First the Alesha fiasco and now this. It's barely worth watching.

I'm afraid I disagree - the 'Alesha fiasco' was largely concocted in the Daily Heil and perpetuated by this forum - as was the current ludicrous situation in which the two best dancers may as well simply take a seat in the audience and chat to one another while their dance music plays.

I don't, however, believe that the BBC had a secret agenda - the powers-that-be don't seem to be clever or subtle enough, unless their long game is to render SCD so predictable and tedious that people stop watching.
