Cheap and cheerful DVD player that I can get from Asda, Sainsburys etc?
So, I just had a DVD player die on me. Not the main player - one in the bedroom. I'd like to replace it with something cheap and cheerful, really not fussy. Small in size is even better.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a supermarket buy for this kind of thing? Ideally I want to go multi-region, but of course that comes under the 'illegal activity' banner so you couldn't possibly advise me on that type of thing, could you

Big name brands from shops are harder to make multiregion, and cheaper ones won't last.
I always recommend multiregionmagic.co.uk |

Making a dvd player multiregion is not illegal.
Depending on how much you want to spend I would get the Bluray player that is £100 under the Curtis name that can be made MR for both Blu and dvd If you want to stick with just dvd you can get them for about £20. I would check on the retailers website which model number you plan to buy then check there is a remote hack for it as sometimes hacks do not always appear. My daughter got a £20 machine from Tesco and we could find no hack so they took it back and we eventually got her one from Currys. If you go for a branded make you would need to spend about £15-£20 extra to get a special remote to make it MR. My daughters had her £20 player for a couple of years so no worries there. My Bluray player came from Multregion Magic but its not somewhere I would recommend if you are looking for cheap items |
