I recorded both shows on Saturday and as an avid Strictly fan I was shocked when I sat down to watch them. I found myself fastforwarding a lot of the programmes - when I wasn't looking at the clock! :yawn::yawn::yawn:

Ali and Ricky are the frontrunners but I haven't warmed to either of them or their dance partners. In fact, Brian annoyed me intensely with the "simmering" looks down the camera lens when they were all waiting in line. He probably meant it to win votes but it just reminded me of Morecambe and Wise!

I like Chris and Ola but they don't really deserve to win.

The five line up of judges is simply ridiculous and Alesha's grammar misuse is grating.

Surely this isn't going to be the only semi and final that I don't even bother to watch!!!!!

I'm not bitter or angry and I know how it works with the public vote and all, but it will be a pointless semi and final now. Why don't they just finish it here?

In the grand scheme of things all finals and semi finals in this show are pointless. It would be even more pointless to finish the competition without any winner at all.

Me? Well even though my fave has a "snowball's chance in hell" of getting through to the final I'll still be watching. I've not invested all this time and money to be deprived of one of my TV highlights for the year.

I know what you mean Alyssa, it's been the same for me this year. The series has been good enough to watch, but way more boring than any of the previous series, and this year I never voted and I never got to have a favourite. I agree with you - there are two better dancing couples with low entertainment value, and one entertaining couple with low dancing value; . Overall, for me not a single dance that I can call memorable... Oh well, let's hope next year's better...
On the bright side, no risk for me to be disappointed as usual because my fav couple didn't win!
