I read the first chapter of her book (because I was curious and wanted to read a few samples of some biographies and she just happened to be the first one that I saw and recognized) and it changed my opinion on her. She knows how she comes across, that people don't like her, and everything else that a lot of you mentioned. She can't keep her mouth shut, and while that annoys the heck of all of us, at least she's honest about it.
I do agree with what you all are saying though, and I don't like the way she went on about how she doesn't listen to pop music, it just makes her more of a marketing puppet than she already is. It's also like saying that she goes to all these awards shows and has no idea who the heck these people are and doesn't care because 'it's all about her.' And for that reason, I'm happy that they ended up dropping her nomination at the Grammys, no one deserves an award that big of a deal when they don't even acknowledge the people who are among the same genre of work.
And now she wants to do something different when she doesn't even consider herself what she was, pop music. Bet she doesn't even know how to make an edgier record, she just has to tell her management and they'll do it for her.
I'm beginning to wonder if she's even heard of Radiohead before seeing them at the Grammys this year...
