DTI6300 New Software Problem
Stefanovitch
10-12-2009
Appear to have got the new software yesterday but my box has lost all channels and wont rescan because it can't find top-up tv (which I don't have). Also, more annoyingly all my recorded programmes seem to have been lost. My 4 year old is not best pleased as it means two series of robin hood and two series of merlin are gone.

The on screen message warned new software was on the way but didn't mention losing channels and recordings

Countless problems since new software update.
How can I reset to earlier more stable version?
Thanks.

Press Menu > 4 Setup > 6 Help > Green > Yellow to revert to the previously stored version of the firmware

I dont think this will recover your lost programmes though.

You can see the previous version of the firmware by pressing Menu > 4 Setup > 6 Help > 1397 (engineers menu)

Thanks for that advice on resetting. But will I lose my stored recordings?

Press Menu > 4 Setup > 6 Help > Green > Yellow to revert to the previously stored version of the firmware

I tried that but pressing the green and yellow did nothing.

Using Firmware version 5.08

Any other advice on resetting much appreciated.

When I delete a recording the box stops working. Have to turn it off then back on again. Very annoying.

I don`t want anymore new software versions!
