Toshiba DVD/VCR Combi

Help! I can't turn it on, it goes back to standby after a few seconds. I don't know whether I've put a bad video in their or what, but I've only had it a week, so maybe not wise to open it up lol!

Does anyone have any ideas?

Is there a tape inside?
Push the cassette carriage flap and look/feel.

Turn on, quickly press EJECT!

thanks guys, i couldn't get the tape out. i did take the plug out for a few hours and then got it to work later, so i'm thinking it might have over heated
