Some thoughts before the semi-final...

I was going through the diaries I kept of my dancing lessons many years ago and found these quotes from the great dancer and choreographer Martha Graham.

"Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion."

"Dance is the hidden language of the soul."

And one I love: " Our arms start from the back because they were once our wings."

She also said it takes ten years to make a dancer.

So maybe we should cut them all a little slack. I am going to sit back and enjoy watching the fruits of all the hard work the celebs and pros have put in over the last months. Good luck to them all hope they have a great evening.

They never fail to amaze me that they have learned so much and progressed so far in a few weeks
Someone said , was it Bruno ,. the key is to make it look easy when its not
So most of us , me included , may think its easy when in fact it is very hard .
Fair play to them all , its been a pleasure to watch .

Yes, we forget not only are they learning a new skill, but a new routine each week, not easy.

I've no idea how some of them manage their day job too, especially Chris and Ricky.

I wouldn't manage to remember 1, never mind 2 routines- they've all done a great job so far, as have the pros of course.

Nice post kassieq.
Whatever my gripes with the programme (and there are some!) I'm full of admiration for any celeb who's got this far, and for the pros who have worked so hard to get them there.

I like to think of the couples as the TRUE stars of the show.
Without them, there'd be no show.

I really don't know how they manage to remember the routines at all....the closest I've ever got to a routine is during a keep fit type dance class and I could never remember two steps together let alone a whole routine without someone shouting out exactly what came next each time!
