You may be right but I think citing Jade's early dance off as evidence is flawed because, at that stage, the audience was still getting to grips with the series. I think a lot of viewers were still wondering which couple to vote for, while hoping one of the "technicians" would maybe find their inner sparkle.
I think the dance off made a lot of people take notice of Jade and I think she was gaining momentum before she went. I also think she might have attracted a sizeable chunk of support from those who want to vote for dance talent primarily but need a bit of wow to really kick start them. Neither Ali or Ricky have really been able to grab that audience by the scruff of the neck, with the result that I think Chris has inherited votes he would never have had in other series due to the serious dance alternatives being less than scintillating. I don't say she would have been able to overturn the Cola wagon but I think she'd have stood a better chance than either Ali or Ricky, particularly if she'd nailed the tango. I think Chris maintaining his popularity has had a lot to do with the lack of journeys amongst the contestants. There have been no real stand out improvements amongst the remaining contestants each of them (including Chris) aren't noticeably that much better than when they started. And by that I suppose I mean they haven't improved their performance (as opposed to technically being better). Sorry for rambling, it's late, I hope someone gets what I mean |

I just don't think she had the votes.
Her marks from the Judges were improving week by week too and she was second on the leaderboard a couple of times. Not that they would have wished it to happen the way it did, but I'm sure more than one couple were relieved when Jade was no longer a rival competitor. |

From the outpouring when she had to withdraw, I think she did but hers were gradually gathering momentum - especially after the dance off in week 6.

It looks like it does now, except that Jade and Ian are still in it. Although if Tuffers had carried on improving I'd have been happy for him to fight it out in the quarters with Chris for the last spot.

I would have gone with
Ricky and Natalie Jade and Ian Natalie and Vincent Ali and Brian That's probably roughly my ideal finishing order as well, depending on dances. |

If it was from any series this is what I would say.
4. Zoe and Ian 3. Jill and Darren 2. Mark and Karen 1. Gethin and Camilla - winners! |

Ali and Brian
Jade and Ian Ricky and Natalie .. would give us the best dancers, as for the fourth ... I can't decide between Chris and Ola, Phil and Katya, Ricky and Erin (you just know Erin's routines would've got more bizarre .. and there may of even been ... as John from Wales said ... a duck costume!!) or Laila and Anton. |

Jade & Ian ![]() Natalie & Vincent Zoe & James I'd substitute Natalie & Vinent for Ricky & Natalie on talent, and that'd be who I thought the best four were too
