Datasafe -RW's
Will only play and record a couple of times on my dad's Samsung DVD recorder (sorry, haven't got the model no.to hand) and then a "This disc can't be played or recorded on" message.
Tried them on my LG recorder and some i managed to re-initialize while others were "unrecognsable". When i gave him the re-initialised discs back the same happened again. Is this more likely to be a) a dodgy pack of discs b) -RW compatibility problem or c)a common Samsung recorder issue. Thanks. |

Samsung are a budget make but this still should not happen.
Most likely a duff batch. If they are -RW are you sure you are initialising them in VIDEO mode and not VR mode. Most recorders wont support VR mode at all but if yours does check it |

Thank you for your input. |

For -RW I use TDK and I've even invested in some Ricoh +RDL without a hitch too |
