What happens if.....?
hiawatha

What would happen if the voting goes as follows:
Judges make Ricky top so 3 points, Ali second 2 points, and chubby chops third 1 point.
The public ( mainly Beeb employees and sympathisers) make Chris top so 3 points, Ali second 2 points and poor Ricky third 1 point.
This would give all three a total of 4 points.
Does the public vote outdo the judges and make gurner Chris the winner?
If so YAH,BOO.

Public vote counts for more so Ricky goes home

I think perhaps you know the answer...and this is just another poorly disguised excuse to insult Chris.

Yep.

It's essentially the same as if there were a dance off - public votes take precedence. In your scenario, Ricky would leave as even though he got the same overall score as Chris and Ali, he has the lowest public vote.

Not sure I agree that everyone who votes for Chris is a BBC employee or sympathiser though - people just seem to like him. _

i think to be honest that's exactly how the vote is gonna work out which is good for me as an ali and brian fan

I think Ali will get the least votes.

Ricky has gained a lot of sympathy in the last week from many, including me. It will probably scrape him into second place.

And plenty of Chris' votes aren't sympathisers. He doesn't need the sympathy, he's the popular one of the bunch!

I think you're right - I honestly think Ali's going this week...

This could have been an interesting/informative thread, but I lost interest in your post at this point.

I suspect that there are a lot of Ricky Fans out there who haven't yet voted, as they know the judges would save him in a dance-off.

No dance off- no chance for the judges to save him.

I think a lot of Ricky fans will vote for the first time this weekend.

The reverse could apply to Chris-
Lots of votes to avoid the dance -off up until now.

Will they all vote at the weekend?

No Ricky fans are going to chance seeing him in the dance off .... for a start it could have been against Ali and there were no guarantees that the judges would save him especially if he messed up so I don't believe that Ricky fans have not been voting for him

Surely .. as he has been in two of the most recent dance offs (which I don't think he should have been in) ... he is even less of a threat to the Cola win than Ali

If the aforementioned scenario occurs then that will be embarrassing for the judges. The public are ignoring them.

For the first time all series... I think Ricky now deserves to be in the final. For the first time I found what he said in the VT (about loving the AT and always wanted to learn the AT) quite honest and heart felt. If only he had shown this type of humility throughout he might have been more popular.

From the gist of this thread it looks as though nobody will be influenced by the dances on the night.

seeing as he hasn't really been seen much on ITT he hasn't really had a chance to say anything

Why not have the courage to state openly that you do not like Chris and do not want him to win.

Disguising your dislike as a thread is a bit juvenile.

It's not a matter of like/dislike, it's a matter of who is the better dancer.
I'm judging them on dancing ability not how much clowning around/stomping/pulling faces they do.
I'm sure Chris is a nice, decent human being but sadly he's the worst dancer left in the threesome.

Stop fretting. The result is a foregone conclusion.
Chris is so popular that it doesn't matter what marks the judges award, the GBP will put him at the top and he will be SCD champ 2009.
Good luck to him, he ought to stand for parliament.

That goes for most of the threads on this forum now, unfortunately.

I think you know the answer, is this a thinly disguised attempt at annoying Chris fans? Doesn't work! If he goes out, he entertained us for a long time, and his partnership with Ola was great.

Can I just say, I also enjoyed Ricky's dancing tonight.
