I can't think of "gouchos" without remembering those "goucho trousers" worn for a while for the latin american dances, by Donnie Burns and the like, on "Come Dancing."

Was just the fashion of the time - nothing can take away the fact that Donnie is one of the best Latin dancers of all time and has trained some of the best dancers around too

A natural AT (salon style dancing) would look very boring to the untrained eye. Unfortunately.

Danced socially, AT looks like two people walking slowly around the edge of a dance floor. There's very little intricacy in social AT, usually because there's no room for it, and/or it breaks the connection.
