How desperate are the Judges & Presenters trying to get Ricky & Ali in the final.

I realise they are doing well, just think the show are trying to hard to get their fav's through.

After that AT Ricky desrves to be in the final! Ali can go tonight imo. Im tired of her the favourtism directed towards her and her AT was bloody dire, so awkward.

I agree that her AT wasn't that great but her AS was fantastic and I hope she makes it to the final.

I do not know why the Judges just didn't make a plea to the public on behalf of Ricky and Ali.

Talk about trying to sway the vote.

Judges should be impartial and comment on the dancing and not try to sway the public with their pleas.

I thought Len had a point.

It's one thing when the judges artificially hype one celebrity (like they did with Lisa Snowdon for example), but their praise for Ricky tonight and their plea to vote for him were justified.

I'm supporting the underdog, but I'd feel guilty for voting for Chris if I didn't throw a vote Ricky's way too. So I have

I voted for both Ali and Ricky. I was up for giving a vote to anybody tonight but Ali's American Smooth and Ricky's Argentine Tango were fabulous. Really hope Justice is seen tonight.

I thought Ricky was a deserving leader with the judges. I was a little puzzled that the lifts he did at the beginning and end of his waltz passed without comment as I didn't think they were allowed, and I also thought his posture was a bit limp in his AT and for me it didn't spark at all. Still the best in both AT and chosen dance though.

I thought Ali's AT was very poor. It had little content and was floppy and shaky and was the worst AT for me by some distance. I also thought she was literally wobbling in the AS and in places her timing was about half a beat behind Brian. Good but too many obvious flaws for that ridiculous score.

Chris's rhumba showed up his lack of technique but his AT seemed to me to have far more content than Ali's and probably more than Ricky's as well. For me it was the most satisfying choreography and had the best feel to it. His execution was better than Ali's too.

For me it was touch and go whether Chris should have had second with the judges. His rhumba perhaps earned a few points more than I expected, but for me Ali was five to ten points over marked with the AS and probably another five to eight with the AT.

Like ive said in another thread, Ali could do the Macarena and still get a perfect score. Its really very unfair, she frequently makes mistakes and they are ignored.

Natalie Lowe kept one foot on the floor for each 'lift' in the Waltz.

I thought Ali's AT was weak; she looked as if she had lost her balance on a few occasions and it was awkward and I felt uncomfortable watching it .

Seriously? Both Ali's dances were better than Chris's in my opinion. Far more content and better executed sans gurn.

To be fair to the judges I think they're just trying to get the better dancers through...Which is part of the reason they're there in the first place, isn't it?

I thought Chris's Argentine Tango was better than Ali's and Bruno's remark about his face was wrong for once. She was too upright and prim for me, no cheek to cheek hold and she came across as nervous rather than passionate. she may have executed technical aspects better than Chris, but Chris and Ola were so much more authentic. Authenticiy is key in a dance like AT.

Her American Smooth blew Chris's Rumba out of the water though.

Judges went so over the top with the campaigning tonight. I can't argue with their point though.

Ricky vs Ali final, PLEASE.

I know people think it'l be dull but I honestly don't think so, there will be two fantastic dancers dancing their hearts out for the trophy. Perfect 10's all round. I just hope the Brittish public feel the same way I do!

Natalie's feet did not lift off the floor, so they were not lifts, so were allowed. I voted the first time this series for Ricky. Three times. The AT had real sexual chemistry and was really exciting, especially the lift at the end and how he held that final position. Their waltz really moved me, it was so emotional and that song, the way it was sang, stripped back was electrifying as was the way they interpreted the music. I really hope they get through. Chris, with his bunch of banana hands seemed ameturish this week compared to Ali and Ricky. I seriously hope he is out this week.

I agree techincally they were better, but the Rumba and Argentine Tango rely as much on personlity and chemistry as they do technique and there Chris gave everything in spades, compared to Ali's Argentine Tango, which was cold and lifeless.

What reallu bugged me about the marking of the Smooth was her gapping fingers - Chris is pulled up (rightly) for it, so wasn't wasn't Ali, and marked accordingly for it?

I'm sorry it wasn't. I didn't particularly enjoy her AT. She was very nervous, and there didn't seem to be any real chemistry and intricate leg movements.

She is a better dancer when it comes to the ball room, no doubt whatsoever, but she cannot pull off these dances. Ricky on the other hand can, and Chris abandons himself to the dance. I'm not against Ali, but the judges wear rose tinted glasses when it comes to Ali.

It would be dire. One soppy girlie who wobbles and who can't manage out of hold, and one bloke with less personality than your average algae.

They can't be that desperate as they gave Chris the same marks for his devoid of any real content A/T, as they did Ali's.

Oh well, let's agree to differ. Scoreboard in the right order anyway.

I agree. I like Ali but her AT didn't really do anything for me - RIcky really should be in the final and I still want Chris and Ola to get through

I don't see how they do In her AT tonight they brought up that she lets her nerves show and that she has to let them go and relax.

Her nerves are her downfall and its a shame that they hold her back.

I'm always happy to agree to disagree. To be fair, I enjoyed the dances tonight. I didn't dislike any of these three couples anyway (shame they can't all go throught the final). That would make my night.
