everyone apart from Brian was smiling at Ricky's success - I can understand why he was not pleased but there was not need to show it with such a sour face

Brian's been off all night. He's usually so bubbly.

I did notice that he's not been himself. I wonder if he's ill or something.

He's fine, just a bit tense I think. Certainly not a bad sport.

I though he was off tonight. I picked up on it from the first judges stint when he looked stunned- I don't know if was positively or negatively stunned.

Didn't like the kiss - I thought it was a tacky attempt to gain votes. Didn't really notice anything else off about him tonight though??

Yeah I found the kiss tacky and contrived as well. I'd prefer it if they kept their personal relationship out of it like Matt and Flavia did. They keep dropping these hints that they are a couple, but dont actually come out and say it. At the end of the day who cares?

Just because he didn't smile, you don't know what he was actually thinking. Maybe the 'sour' face was due to nerves. Claiming it was not being pleased at Ricky's success is your own interpretation. Maybe he felt sour on Ricky's behalf because he may well not get voted through tonight, despite his superb dancing!

I don't believe Brian is a bad sport.

He's always very complimentary about other couples.

He does seem quite serious and intense this year though. Forcing everything a bit too much.

Sid , I agree , he is a little intense this year and its , in my opinion , taken its toll on Ali , She simply cant relax .

Thought the kiss was a tad desperado.

Brian looked narked as soon as the marks for the AT came in. I think he knew the title may be slipping away...... he needs to keep a good game face because bitter doesn't win you votes though.

I liked the kiss, even if it was for votes. I think he just felt like kissing her. People wouldn't vote because he kissed Ali, surely.

That kiss was pure desperation and cringeworthy,I think it will loose him votes...at least I hope it does.

Who knows, but it's why they put it in. Didn't seem at all spontaneous to me.

I think Natalie was the bad sport for complaining about Craig's 9 for the AT, when she had just been awarded enough points to ensure she was top of the leader board.

I think she had every right to complain, the whole audience booed at Craigs 9.

For once she was probably right to complain.

Now I'm completely confused. A lack of a smile means you're a bad sport, yes? And people have been complaining that Natalie smiles too much, yes? So smiling all the time must mean she's a very good sport indeed, doesn't it?

If Craig spotted a mistake, he has every right to knock off a mark, regardless of the audience reaction.

See above reply. Craig is very consistent, in that he will never award a 10 if he sees a mistake.

I don't think a lack of a smile means Brian is not a good sport. Unless you are a mind reader, you should not infer that it was a reaction to Natalie & Ricky.
